The Sun Will Rise and the Moon Will Set

The planting is done. So is the arranging (mostly). Now I’m just waiting for the sun to come back out (tomorrow? Sunday?) so I can get some good photos to share. The day started off sunny and warm but, by the time we finished planting and sweeping, clouds had moved in and it began to rain.

LAST NIGHT FROM THE TERRACE (THE SILHOUETTE OF ONE OF OUR NEW YUCCAS).

Since my view in the morning can be breathtaking (and so can the cats), I now sleep with my camera beside the bed. I woke up near sunrise to see Dudo trying to figure out how to open the bedroom window. Fortunately (for us), it requires thumbs.

DUDO.  “LET ME OUT!”
A BRIEF MOMENT OF PATIENCE (OR RESIGNATION).

SO WHAT.

  1. My granddaughter just posted today on Facebook a photo of her cats…. one had learned to open the cupboard and drag out the kitty treats… the other learned how to open the bag of treats and have a snack. So… watch Moose and Dudo carefully… they might master that latch yet!

    1. Sharon:
Dudo and Moose know how to PULL open a door that's slightly open. But they haven't figured out how to PUSH that some door open from the other side! So, we may have a little time before they figure out how to work a thumb latch.

  2. We had a cat named Voncie back in Miami who would stretch and reach and try to turn the knob to the front door whenever he wanted to go out.
Poor thing never quite mastered it ….

  3. Aren't you taking an awful lot for granted that the sun will come out tomorrow? lol.
The colors are beautiful, it is probably from the sand that blows North from the Sahara this time of year.

    saludos,
    raulito

  4. Give Dudo time and he will have it all figured out! Wonderful photos, Mitch!
Maybe it rains a little more on the coast than inland?
    Have a great weekend.
