“MOOSE,” SAN GERALDO asked, “What are we going to do about your weight?”

“How about what are we going to do about YOUR weight?!? Mind your frickin’ business!” I responded (in Moose’s voice).

“MOOSE”, PREGUNTOÓ SAN Geraldo, “¿Qué vamos a hacer con respecto a tu peso?”

“¿Qué vamos a hacer con respecto a TU peso? ¡? ¡Ocupes de tus propios asuntos!” Respondí (en la voz de Moose).

  1. Our Happy has been on a diet for some time now, she has dropped just over a kilo. It helps that she loves to chase bugs out in the Nirvana at night time. 🙂

    1. Snoskred:
Moose likes to chase bugs, too. But, unlike Dudo, most of his activity is a bit more measured. AND he loves to eat. We don’t want to contemplate trying to put him on a diet while trying to ensure Dudo at least maintains his weight. A kilo would be perfect, I think.

  2. OH BOY! ‘Cats’ can be very sensitive about such matters!!
My theory is ‘carbs’ are the culprit……he said who LOVES them dearly.

    1. Anonymous (Jim?):
Moose gorges on a really healthy dry food mix. He just loves to eat. We give them wet treats every day — for Dudo’s sake. Dudo gets 3/4 of the package and Moose gets 1/4!

    1. Debra:
And that was an accident. They were named at the shelter where they lived for 10 months. So we didn’t change them. But Moose’s real name is Musy. So, maybe it’s my fault for shortening it to Moose most of the time!

  3. Poor “little” Moose. On the see food diet, huh? I remember riding shotgun in my best friend’s vintage VW bug. Together we probably weighed a little over four hundred pounds (it sounds worse than it looks, believe me). A somewhat rotund woman cut us off in traffic. My friend, an Italian from New York, hollered “Watch it fatso!” I raised an eyebrow at her , pot kettle and all that. She smirked and said “We’re not fat, we’re swollen.”
Moose is just a little swollen, and SG is a big, cuddly (I would assume) teddy bear 🙂

    1. Deedles:
When Moose was about a year old and starting to show the signs of “bigness,” Jerry called to him and said, “Come here fat boy.” I said, “Hello, Pot. This is Kettle.” I love them both. And they both have the bone structure to carry it off handsomely.

    1. anne marie:
Jerry has a former assistant who refers to herself as “puffy.” Better than bony, i say!

  4. I always pictured them as exactly the same size. Turns out Moose is a bear and Dudo is an otter. Or something like that.

    1. Walt the Fourth:
Dudo is very slender, while Moose is husky. (Yep, maybe bear and otter!) But Moose, like Jerry, also has a much bigger skeletal structure.

  5. It’s now easier to tell which is which, at least when they’re together, without having to look at their faces if they can be seen. They look more like daddy and son. I only fear that M might inadvertently smother D when they’re sleeping together.

Btw, Mitch. I’ve tried untold number of times to put your new address on my blogroll but for some reason it won’t take. I’ve had to finally bookmark your blog which means that I have to check each day if you’ve posted something rather than have it come up automatically. It’s no great hardship, only a slight inconvenience, which I can live with. Have you heard of others of your followers having the same trouble with accessing your postings since you moved?

    1. Ray:
So sorry for the troubles with adding me to your blogroll. I have no idea what the problem is. Just to confirm you’re adding ww.movingwithmitchell.com… I’m planning to chat with WordPress on this and other problems people are having. No worries about Moose smothering Dudo. Dudo can hold his own… and does!

    1. Anonymous:
Don’t know who this is. But I need to talk with WordPress about why so many people are having problems.

  6. Just tried adding you to my blogroll yet again. Still no luck. I’ll keep following you as ‘bookmark’ until I hear whatever wrong’s been fixed.
