A Day Before The Night Before / Un Día Antes De La Noche Antes

La versión español está después de la versión inglés.

I’m not in my nightshirt nor is Ma in her cap (OK, San Geraldo is in his), but I thought I’d go into Christmas with one final Fuengirola fashion florish. These photos were taken today, the day before the night before Christmas, around the neighborhood.

My scarf is a statement on its own, and look how I combined it today (covered in public by a black jacket). / La bufanda es una declaración en sí misma, y mira cómo la combiné hoy (cubierta en público por una chaqueta negra).
And San Geraldo in his cap. Well, come on, It was a chilly 17C (63F). / Y San Geraldo en su gorra. Bueno, vamos, hacía un frío 17C (63F).
It looks to me like the man was trying to keep his distance. Look at that curled lip! / Me parece que el hombre estaba tratando de mantener su distancia. ¡Mira ese labio rizado!

  1. What a fashion statement ! Still not sure about the rolled up leg.
You look Fabulous and somewhat out of place ? Yes ?
    Merry day before Christmas Eve,

    cheers, parsnip and badger

    1. Parsnip,
Some people here do look as chic as me. Well, nearly. The rolled one leg? No clue. And I still haven’t felt comfortable asking someone.

  2. Now see, you two look like winter and sane, and fashionable. Fit into the holiday. Nothing says Christmas like those two in that second picture. Is that guy even wearing shorts? I don’t see any jingle bells hanging……

  3. I still don’t understand the shorts thing, kind of whackadoo. That lady obviously loves her flowers, right down to her socks though. You look very handsome, but yes, please wear your scarf with your black jjacket

    1. Cheapchick,
I don’t get the shorts thing either. Is it sexy? Maybe 2019 will be the year I approach someone and find out.

    1. David,
Oh how our blood has thinned after more than 25 years in mostly Mediterranean climates. 63 is downright chilly.

    1. anne marie,
When the temps drop below 70F, the scarves come out… and I’ve got a lot of them!

  4. I rather like the lady with the fringed lavender scarf. And look – guy in the top panel is so happy that he finally found his leg! He’s hanging on to it so it doesn’t go missing again.

    1. Wilma,
Oh no, looking at those two women made my eyes hurt. And you’re right about that guy; he was obsessed with that exposed leg.

  5. Love is blind, I guess!
    ‘Fashions Consults by Mitch’…..you’re welcome.
Have a wonderful ‘holiday’ couple of days.

    1. Jim,
That man really looked like he couldn’t bear the sight of that combination… he r at leas couldn’t believe it.

    1. Bob,
I’m getting so daring. I should have done a full body photo. I was wearing orange and blue plaid pants. (But you’ll have to take my word for it.)

  6. Tacky fashion, the gift that keeps on giving! The curled lip guy looks as if he’s smelling something quite unpleasant. Maybe his companion forgot to bathe for a few days 🙂 I do so like making up stories about random people.

    1. Deedles,
That guy really loves him Jed like he could t believe what she was wearing. I love making up stores, too. I used to do that.. and sometimes still do… to entertain The Kid Brother.
