Our friend Judyshannonstreetwhat (click here if you haven’t met) has been in town from the State of Washington (not to be confused with Washington, D.C., the capitol of the United States) with her sister Joan from Arizona. They brought us treats, which I’ll tell you about another day and today we four went to the Butterfly Park in Benalmádena, 15 minutes from home. More on that another day, too. The Butterfly Park is across the street from the Stupa, the Buddhist temple, which sits high up overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. The top image is this evening’s moonrise. I’m hoping to see the “super blood wolf moon” early Monday morning.
Nuestra amiga Judyshannonstreetwhat (haz clic aquí si no se ha conocido) ha estado en la ciudad desde el estado de Washington (no debe confundirse con Washington, DC, la capital de los Estados Unidos) con su hermana Joan de Arizona. Nos trajeron golosinas, que les contaré otro día y hoy cuatro fuimos al Butterfly Park en Benalmádena, a 15 minutos de su casa. Más sobre eso otro día, también. El Mariposario está al otro lado de la calle de la estupa, el templo budista, que se encuentra en lo alto del mar Mediterráneo. La imagen superior es la salida de la luna de esta noche. Espero ver la “superluna de sangre de lobo” el lunes por la mañana.

That moonrise is so beautiful and the Stupa is electric. We are hoping to see the lunar eclipse tonight, but clouds might interfere. Enjoy your visitors.

We had great views of the supermoon (today’s blog post). Jerry was up for a few hours. He woke me up at 5:30 a.m. and I watched until 6:10!

The location is really grand. Spectacular views. But the wind was blowing and it was cold (for us), so we didn’t walk over.

It’s been very nice … when we see them. They have been touristing all over the place. Today they headed an hour east to a beautiful beach town and, above it, a spectacular white village.

It’s a spectacular location. Grand vistas and incredible light.
Somehow these moon events eclipse me (see what I did there?). I mean, I never heard of a stupid bloody wolf moon, or whatever they’re calling it this year. There used to be a new moon, a full moon, and a harvest moon, once in blue moon. Even a quarter moon in a ten-cent town. I’d be willing to bet that the stupid bloody wolf moon has a theme song, and that it’s not Moon River. Ok, I’ll stop now.

Well, I’ve been singing “Ow-oooooo! Werewolves of London” since yesterday afternoon. But I agree with you. How have I lived this long without ever hearing the names for all these SUPER moons?!?

The temple is beautiful. Haven’t been inside for a few years. Maybe next time. It was too cold and windy to walk over after the butterfly park (I mean it might have only been 55 degrees!)
