San Geraldo said he was going to win $6 million in Las Vegas, and he promised our friends and acquaintances that we would share our riches. One friend, Juan, wanted a Harley Davidson. We weren’t keen on that, so he said, “OK, just bring me a poker chip.” That turned out to be a brilliant idea especially since, when all was said and done, San Geraldo had barely enough money to buy a handful of poker chips at the Suncoast Casino for some of our friends here on the Costa del Sol (Suncoast). Not surprisingly, Suncoast Casino and the City of Fuengirola have the same logo. Fuengirola uses it all over town. Kind of a cool bonus. And the chips turned out to be a big hit. Who needs $6 million?!?
Our friends Kathleen and Pedro, in anticipation of their share of the $6 million (they planned to buy a new house), had an appropriate cheesecake at the ready. It was surprisingly delicious — tasted like a million bucks. The package said it served 6. Please! We simply cut it in quarters. Live large, we say. Pedro practiced his moves with a poker chip. Give him a week and he’ll be ready for Vegas. (And San Geraldo will NOT be going with him.)

Who ever thought a small piece of cheesecake was a good idea obviously doesn’t “get” cheesecake. Vegas has that way of ripping off so many places ie Paris, Luxor, etc I am sure the Suncoast ripped off the actual suncoast
Cheapchick:
It didn’t even dawn on us that we would be staying at the “Costa del Sol” Hotel and Casino until Juan pointed it out when he asked for his Harley. I like this sun coast so much better.
Six million dollars? Once could have a bionic makeover
Kirk:
Not anymore! According to my inflation calendar the 6 Million Dollar Man would cost $34,158,918.92 to build today! Not a very catchy title for a TV series.
Just looking at the delicious piece of cheesecake went to my sides!!!!!!!!
Six million dollars? You can get a bionic makeover for that.
Friends like Kathleen & Pedro are worth a million!
Susan:
They truly are. We are SO lucky.
I WANT THAT CHEESECAKE!
anne marie:
It was really good and not from Spain. I wonder if you can find it in the States. Then again, you’ve got some great cheesecake there.
Mmm, that cheesecake sure looks good! Appropriately named, too.
Debra:
The cheesecake was excellent. Surprising for a frozen box!
Maybe one day
Adam:
If you mean maybe one day he’ll win $6 million, not likely unless it’s a lottery ticket.
Cheesecake = happiness
David:
Oh, I agree…. AND chocolate.
I loathe cheesecake , myself. Considering all the things I do like, if I ate that crap too, I’d be big as a barn rather than the r.v. that I am 🙂
Deedles:
I LOVE cheesecake. I used to be very particular. It had to be real New York cheesecake. But I’ve lightened up a bit.
Balder Half lives for cheesecake! He used to eat the plain ones only, now he’ll do flavors and toppings, so that’s a breakthrough 🙂
Deedles:
In the ’70s, my favorite cheesecake was fresh baked and smothered in cherries. Now, cherry cheesecake is my least favorite. My favorite restaurant, Mesón Salvador, serves a traditional kind of Spanish cheesecake, which is not baked and it’s topped with a blueberry compote. Delicious. But the chef also makes a traditional baked cheesecake that’s very similar to my NY cheesecakes. Incredibly good.
Nice cheesecake!
Judy:
It was surprisingly delicious. And a quarter was the perfect size.
Do you mean to say San G did not win $6 million Pesetas or dollars? Oh my! what to do. At least you have cake.
larrymuffin:
No, not even pesetas! Yes, at least there’s cake.
