I DON’T KNOW how I ever survived the first week of Daylight Savings Time when I was working. I’m having a hard enough time this week crawling out of bed for morning coffee before morning becomes afternoon. We changed our clocks in Spain early Sunday morning. The cats don’t seem to have noticed. They wake San Geraldo for their breakfast whenever they feel like it. Some days it’s 4 in the morning. Some days, 5. Yesterday, I think it was 3:30. Moose can be especially annoying. We’re tempted to disturb his naps during the day. But, of course, we won’t. If looks could kill.
.
I dislike the time change, and look forward to being able to indulge in afternoon naps, like your cats. My office does not allow napping in the office.
David:
I wish I could nap like a cat. Not as often, but in any position and wherever I land.
You guys are so well-trained, Mitch!! Good boys!
Just like we are too.
I wish ‘they’ would just keep the time as it is right now….ALL YEAR LONG.
Sweet photos of Moose and Dudo.
Jim:
All they have to do is snap their fingers… Well, not even. All these photos are of Moose.
Son’s cat Oliver likes to be fed at 3am when he runs around like crazy. Merida lets him do all the work she is the Princess !
cheers, parsnip
Parsnip:
I like the fact that they know Jerry is the one to wake up in the morning. They only wake me up if they’ve decided I’m sleeping too late… or if they can’t get Jerry out of bed, but then it’s just to tell on him, I think.
As I am NOT a morning person, I wish we could have daylight savings time year round. In the winter in the Pacific NW I drive to and from work in the dark. I HATE it.
LOVE those kitties, though.
Susan:
That was one thing I especially hated about winters in Connecticut, going to and from work in the dark.
I don’t mind it staying light later, but getting up in the dark is pissing me off.
I wanna be a cat!
Bob:
I still hate getting up in the dark.
I’m glad you realize who rules the roost!
Debra:
These boys have us so well trained.
Moose is totally adorable ( I refuse to say totes adorbs) as usual. That back position with his legs hanging over the edge of the bed can’t be comfortable! I get back twinges just looking at him! I read somewhere that Daylight Savings Time is literally killing people. Not me. Being a kept woman, I don’t have to work, so I wake up at 6:30 instead of 5:30. I do like how late the sun stays out though.
Deedles:
I wish i could sleep in the positions Moose takes. Get up and stretch and all is aligned again. I think these time changes are ridiculous.
el gato es muy bueno!
anne marie:
Él dice “gracias”!
That last picture is my favorite!!!!! But those cats sure are photogenic.I usually don’t mind the time change. It’s when we fall back that I feel tired and lethargic. Spring ahead I feel much better..
Mistress Maddie:
This time of year, because i don’t have to get up for work, I end up sleeping later and feel like I’ve missed the day. And, these two cats ARE photogenic (and Dudo is breathtakingly beautiful… he told me to say that). Our first two cats in California were black and so difficult to photograph.
We never adjusted to Winter Time, so since last October we’ve been off. Now we’re back to normal. Sort of. In a few weeks it will no longer be dark when we get up, which is normally between 05h00 and 06h30.
Walt the Fourth:
We’re usually up early like you and we always go back to bed for a few more hours! We like this time of year because the clock in our car shows the correct time again.
The cat looks like he’s about to fall off of the bed. Oh, well, I suppose he’ll land on his feet.
The sardonic stare of cats is the worst. I would not sleep too soundly if I were you.
Urspo:
Moose is nothing to worry about. I DO, however, worry when Dudo gives me a look.
