LAST WEEKEND, WHILE we enjoyed our morning coffee with friends Tynan and Elena, we got on the subject of someone we all know and don’t like very much. We find him to be misogynistic, pompous, selfish, and arrogant. If that weren’t enough, we don’t believe much of what he tells us about his past (nor even his present). The reason we were talking about him was because he had recently said some unkind things to someone we all know and love, while also making another hard-to-swallow claim about his degrees and experience. San Geraldo said he was going to do some online research on the guy, so wrote down his first name and then asked for his last name. It’s an unusual last name, and San Geraldo asked Tynan to spell it for him.
“S,” Tynan began slowly.
He continued, still slowly, as San Geraldo carefully wrote each letter: “H…”
“… I… T… H… E… A… D.”
San Geraldo finished writing and read it back to himself. THEN he got it.
This is one of the many reasons I love San Geraldo (and Tynan).

ÚLTIMO FIN DE SEMANA, mientras disfrutamos de nuestro café de la mañana con los amigos Tynan y Elena, abordamos el tema de alguien que todos conocemos y no nos gusta mucho. Encontramos que es misógino, pomposo, egoísta, y arrogante. Si eso no fuera suficiente, no creemos mucho de lo que nos cuenta sobre su pasado (ni siquiera su presente). (NOTA: Shithead en ingles significa literalmente cabeza de mierda… como gilipollas).

Esta es una de las muchas razones por las que amo a San Geraldo (y Tynan).

It reminds me of a scene from WKRP in Cincinnati, where is Les Nessman, talking on the radio, is reading a banner that flying on the end of a helicopter: “Happy…Thanks…giving…from…W…K…R…P”
It also reminds me of a passage from the book Catch-22, where there’s a character named Scheisskopf is referred to behind his back as “shithead”.

OMG, do you remember WKRP “phone cops”? For years we used to make reference to the phone cops. I can tell now that I’m old as younger people don’t have any idea what I’m talking err, ROFLMAO about.
