Exer What? / ¿Ejer Qué?

FRIDAY MORNING, I looked across the street and saw a crew building a stage. I had no idea what for. Saturday morning, while I was getting ready to go out for coffee, dance music began blasting from below and both cats came running inside.

One of the local gyms was hosting a workout class on the Paseo. A large crowd was participating. There was great energy. Plus step platforms, dumbbells, exercise mats — and a whole lot of Lycra. I immediately changed my plans and headed downstairs.

I took some pictures.

And THEN I went for coffee.

.

Inmediatamente cambié mis planes y me dirigí abajo.

Hice algunas fotos.

Y LUEGO fui a tomar un café.

Second from right: She didn’t have dumbbells, so she grabbed the nearest kid.
Segundo, desde la derecha: No tenía mancuernas, así que agarró a la niña más cercana.

    1. Snoskred,
It really did look like fun. The trainer had a great personality. No macho, superior attitude.

    1. anne marie,
It was a glorious day. Would have been fun to start with them but my Lycra was in the wash.

  1. It’s part of a ‘fuengirola moves’ campaign. This will be every weekend for I think the next month. There’s a schedule of different classes. I moved….away from them and sat on the beach.

  2. Nothing like an outdoor exercise class to get ya movin!!
Does this bring back good memories…….
Next weekend ‘we’ expect to see YOU, Mr.Mitchell, in that group!!

    1. Jim,
Not much for those groups. I enjoy once and then people start to get to me. But off to the gym… on my own… sounds good.

    1. Bob,
Staff in Spanish is Personal, but so is Personal. So they use Staff. I guess they don’t want anyone to get the wrong idea. Oh well.

  3. I have a t-shirt that reads: Exercise? I thought you said extra fries! That is all I’m saying on the subject 🙂 Also, what an innovative way to use a kid!

    1. Deedles,
Oh, I love that T shirt! I didn’t even notice the kid in the air until I downloaded the photo.

  4. All the colorful leggings at least here they belong. Not like the colorful lady with all the prints on the street running from the Fashion Police.

    cheers, parsnip

(I love the name! Memories of 1950s TV.) This event was motivating. Maybe you would have found yours again.
