CONTINUING THIS SEASON’S “Fuengirola Moves” campaign, high energy exercise on the Paseo sponsored by different health clubs that began across the street from us in late April (click here), today’s theme incorporated different styles of Spanish dance. It started at 10:00 with a great group from Fitflamc: Flamenco & Fitness. The sun was warm, the workout was invigorating, and the music was a blast. I enjoyed myself — taking pictures. Two smaller groups continued this morning’s theme, but Fitflamc was a tough act to follow.

CONTINUANDO CON LA campaña “Fuengirola Se Mueve” de esta temporada, ejercicio de gran energía en el Paseo patrocinado por diferentes clubes de salud que comenzó a cruzar la calle a finales de abril (haz clic aquí), la temática de hoy incorporó diferentes estilos de baila española. Comenzó a las 10:00 con un gran grupo de Fitflamc: Flamenco & Fitness. El sol era cálido, el ejercicio era vigorizante, y la música era increíble. Me divertí — tomando fotos. Dos grupos más pequeños continuaron esta mañana, pero Fitflamc fue un acto difícil de seguir.

  1. This is just like my Zumba class which I did this morning (and at least three times a week.) Love the music and the moves. We all work up a good sweat but are energized by the end of class. I’m going to be 72 in two weeks and as the saying goes: if you don’t use it, you lose it. 🙂

      Such incredible energy. They REALLY worked. The sun was hot. Regular water breaks. I love the energy in these classes, but this one requires too much dance skill for me!

    She, the instructor, was GREAT!
    Now, where were the men? What a bunch of CHICKENS!! lol
    If you don’t mind I will share this on FB…..my sister, Mim, would LOVE this!

      The instructor was exceptional. Great promotion for that club. And she had a huge loyal following. I was disappointed, though, that there was no one single man participating. Husbands and partners were taking pictures (while they smoked cigarettes)!

      1. Aw too bad. If we were there we would have been up and moving along with her!!

      I know what you mean. I had two cups of café con leche!

  3. Being severely allergic to exercise myself, all I saw was grown up toddler girls still wearing their little ruffle backed tights. This camping trip is coming just in the nick of time!

      I am so inspired by this group and the great music. Don’t you think I’d look good in one of the little flamenco things?

      Although this group was exclusively woman, men love their fitness, too. I think they just don’t want to wear those little flamenco ruffles.

      There were women of all shapes and sizes on stage and participating. And they were amazing! The instructor would have to be really fit — as inspiration — and besides, doing that several times day, there’s no chance of much body fat!

      Yes. And I loved how he was just hanging out, jumped up, and then thought better of it.

      it was a hot day for that kind of outdoor workout. Between numbers, the instructor made everyone stop and drink water. They really worked!

      Have you ever tried “the floss”? I might give it a try (at home) because I’m sure I would look very dorky!.
