Carmen Con Queso

La versión español está después de la versión inglés.

YOU MAY REMEMBER the “Men of the Parmesan” from previous posts (click here). They’re the handsome individuals that have artistically grated cheese onto our exquisite, organic meals at Restaurante Primavera. Well, at long last, I’m able to share the first of the “Women of the Parmesan.” Carmen has been working at Primavera for some months now and she’s a perfect addition to the team. She’s a true professional and is charming, intelligent, and kind, with a brilliant sense of humor. Just look at that smile!

¡Solo mira esa sonrisa!

Clowning for the camera.
Payasadas para la cámara.
That’s Pedro in the background. Yep, we’ll have to get him to grate our cheese.
Él es Pedro en el fondo. Sí, tendremos que hacer que ralle nuestro queso.
Cous Cous (no parmesan).
Cous Cous (sin parmesano).
Penne with pork and other good things… and freshly grated parmesan.
Penne con pluma Iberica y otras cosas buenas.
No parmesan for me. Just apples, goat cheese, and greens, wrapped in smoked salmon and topped with hazelnuts.
No hay parmesano para mí. Solo manzanas, queso de cabra, y lechugas, envueltas en salmón ahumado, y cubiertas con avellanas

I can’t be bothered, although I love parmesan. Jerry likes a mountain but has mercy after a bit of grinding.

  1. You left out cute in your description of Carmen. I can’t look at the food without my glucose levels shooting up to 500! Pasta does it to me every time! Have a good weekend. I’m spending today’s triple digit temperature in my son’s pool. I’ll be a giant golden raisin by the time I get back home.

    1. Deedles:
Oh, yeah, very cute! We don’t have triple digits, but we’re still finding it unpleasant. Kind of humid lately, too. I LOVE golden raisins.

That waiter’s name is Pedro and that’s an awful picture. He’s definitely a hottie… and a friend of Dorothy. Everything at Primavera is fresh… SO good.

  2. My soul swoons at the combination of good eats, cheese, and lovely shavers of both genders.
BTW – I just returned from the grocery store where I purchased five cans to make you-know-what.
Tell that man of yours I will be thinking of him on my maiden voyage into this urtext of hot dishes.

    1. Urspo:
Yep, always something to make us smile. I can’t wait to hear about your results with Five-Can Hotdish! To be honest, I love it. (But if you tell anyone, I’ll deny I ever said that.)

      1. My first attempt was deemed good but room for improvement.
Next time I must remember to add the milk.

      2. Urspo:
Oops. Did you sprinkle with crushed potato chips? Are there pictures?

    1. Debra:
She is another one of those wonderful people that make us feel so loved every time we’re there.

  3. They must fight over who gets your table at that restaurant….entertainment for them for the evening 🙂

    1. Cheapchick:
I must admit, we’re popular there! Oh, what restaurant staff sometimes have to endure. We try to make their days better.

  4. Before I even read about Carmen, I liked her!! Can feel the good energy!
Now to that last little number of food…..WOW! My cup of tea for sure!

    1. Jim:
That smile says it all. She is so kind, funny, smart… That last dish is called Ensalada de Cabra (Goat Salad!). Not only is it a work of art and delicious, the combination of textures put it over the top for me — smooth, creamy, crunchy. I love it.

    1. Kirk:
Carmen did love having her picture taken. But I suppose when you look like that, it’s not a stressful experience. She looks good even in the funny pictures. And she does seem to enjoy her work. A real pro… and a charmer.
