You Turned the Tables on Me / Me Diste la Vuelta

La versión español está después de la versión inglés.

I RECENTLY SHARED photos of the new look of our dining room here in Fuengirola (in its first and third iteration) along with pictures of the dining rooms in 6 of our 13 other homes over the years (click here). I found photos of 4 more from our past, plus version #2 of Fuengirola. I’m still searching (for more photos, not for more homes — at least for now).

.

    1. David,
When the realtor took us to the house, we saw the outside and had NO interest. It was 3 stories, brand new, and body, but as we worked our way up inside, we grew more and more interested. The views clinched it. The top floor was uplifting.

  1. First off, thanks for Billie Holiday. What a glorious way t start a day. I just love her.

And I love the useless hutch, though, it made me smile, so how useless is it really?

    1. Bob,
We’d love this have that hutch today. Useless or not. And we don’t even have the room for it!

  2. ‘Round round get around, I get around…….’ comes to mind.
I love colour but there is lot to say about white. Love the present look you guys have.

  3. Nevada, too, eh? I’m not sure I remembered that you had lived there, too. Ohhhh là là!
Happy Thanksgiving this week! Will Mesón Salvador be roasting a turkey for you?

    1. Judy,
No Thanksgiving at Mesón Salvador. Can’t find a cranberry bog. Two years in Nevada. Two years too many.

    1. Mistress Maddie,
We had a dead animal collection at one point in our lives. Someone shot a pheasant and had it mounted (behave) for Jerry our first year together. That started it. We then had a rattlesnake, Canada goose (in flight), the chicken, and finally a Mandarin drake. I then told Jerry we had enough dead animals. We eventually sold them to a consignment shop. I can’t believe we ever had them!

  4. Perfect song choice for this post! And I remember your posts about your art glass collection. Nice to see a couple of photos of it!

We had two cats we got in 1996 in San Diego. Also litter mates and brothers. The one on the stairs was Dobie. The sweetest, most outgoing cat! We miss him. He died at the age of 17. And we do all our own designing around the house(s). Thanks!

    1. Adam:
I assume you’re talking about the table. It’s thick, tempered, and we try not to dance on it.

      1. Deedles:
Moose (the cat) was on it yesterday afternoon for the first time that we know of. He’s a big boy. (AND I’M SO HAPPY YOU’RE BACK!!!)
