And I Feel Fine / Y Me Siento Bien

THE OTHER MORNING, I had an early appointment. I saw the start of the sunrise from home, but then got to walk on the Paseo for about 20 minutes and saw the sunrise from different places than usual. It was a beautiful morning for my walk back home, but my mind wandered to a bizarre, dark place. I imagined seeing an enormous mushroom cloud in the distance. Then another. And another. And still more. The entire horizon was filled with mushroom clouds. I was almost home and I thought to myself, ‘Well, at least I should have enough time to get upstairs to San Geraldo before it’s all over.’

  1. These walks along the sea will keep those ‘mushroom clouds’ away.
    Beautiful photos, Mitch.

  2. Made me think of the title of a book I NEVER read…”The Sun Also Rises” Well we’ve just experienced the end of democracy as we knew it here in the US and Britain has just gone backwards into the future as well. I don’t think it will be mushroom clouds but it might be something slow and inconspicuous. Thank god the sun also rises here, there and for all of us.

    1. Frank,
Read it a long time ago. All that applies is the title… but, thankfully, it DOES still apply.

    1. Urspo,
Thanks. Every recent sunrise has been glorious. I think another early morning walk is in order. Maybe the other direction for sharing different views

  3. Beautiful skies…today we are supposed to be a glimpse of sun….I shall be waiting for it.

    1. Cheapchick,
We get over 300 days of sunshine a year. So there’s usually no waiting. Today, however, it’s foggy… so far.
