So Hold On / Así Que Sostente

La versión español está después de la versión inglés.

AFTER SUNDAY’S MUSHROOM clouds, I thought I’d share some beauty. The hibiscus along the Paseo — insects and all. I took these photos and more along one 3-km (2-mile) stretch of beach. It’s a beautiful day in the neighborhood.

    1. Cheapchick,
So uplifting to see all around us. Your flowers will be back before you know it.

  1. red and yellow and pink and green
    purple and orange and blue
    I can sing a rainbow
    sing a rainbow
    sing a rainbow too

(that’s what the flowers remind me of)

  2. As that great philosopher, Madonna, once said, in ‘Vogue’ …. ‘beauty’s were you find it.
Gosh, she’s amazing. Whatever happened to her ….

    1. Walt the Fourth,
We’ve had a bit of summer in recent days. Clear and sunny all week, they said. Fog so thick this morning, we couldn’t see the beach!

  3. Very pretty! I think I like hibiscuses 🙂 This is also my favorite R.E.M. song ever! Call me a sap, but it makes me cry every time.

    1. Deedles:
I love REM and, yes, this song especially. And I love to cry to them… or at least get all mopey. We love hibiscus. Had loads of them for a while on our terrace and it was glorious, but SG got tired of fighting the bugs. And, lately, he’s so busy with his books that he can’t be bothered much with the plants except for watering, so not a good time to try them again. I tell him he should just do what the city does and cut them down to their trunks a couple of times a year.
