I WENT FOR A WALK on the beach Sunday evening and again around 7:00 Monday morning — because I couldn’t sleep. Sunrise from the sand was a great way to forget about a bad night’s sleep. So, all I’m sharing today are a lot of pictures (and a video) of that blissful walk. What a joy to be able to walk on the beach again. The sunrise is followed by an animation of a guy I saw Sunday evening. He didn’t warn me he was going to flip out [of the frame].

El amanecer desde la playa fue una excelente manera de olvidarse de una mala noche de sueño. Entonces, todo lo que comparto hoy son muchas fotos (y un video) de esa maravillosa caminata. Qué alegría poder volver a caminar por la playa. El amanecer es seguido por una animación de un hombre que vi el domingo por la noche. No me advirtió que iba a voltearse [fuera del marco].

I’ll have to save my walk for another evening and see if he’s willing to perform again… in the frame the whole time. It’s not as quiet around here as it had been. Heavy equipment on the beach. Weed whackers all along the Paseo. But it’s nice to see some things coming back to life.
I,too, was up early, though not on a warm because but i the midst of a lightning storm and tons of rain.
Not peaceful, but certainly watchable.

I LOVE lightning storms, but I’m much more grateful for the streak of glorious weather we’ve had since some restrictions have been eased.
the sound of the sea is relaxing. but I notice none of the people are wearing masks. WTF?????

I’d estimate that easily less than half the people are wearing masks outside. In shops, most people now wear masks. They’re required on public transit. But out in the fresh air, I notice a lot of people carrying them (or seemingly completely without one).
Tat fellow was definitely jumping for joy.
Thanks so much for your beautiful sunrise photos…for the video with the sound of water lapping the beach. You must have been filled with happiness just to be standing there. Even if you were tired.

People are very excited to be freed up just a bit. Slowly but surely… I hope. Our version of the GOP are fighting today to stop all restrictions. (We actually have two parties that are our version of the GOP, Bad (PP) and Worse (VOX).

I read your comment last night before going out for another walk and I saw a guy with one shorts leg shorter than the other shorts leg!!! Photo mañana I think. The sound of the surf is the most peaceful sound for me. When I had a sound spa, that was what I always set it on. So hearing the real thing for me now is blissful.
Those pictures are spectacular!!!!! There seems to be people all over already, are mask not mandatory there anymore?

Masks are only mandatory on public transportation (and haven’t even always been required there). I don’t wear my mask when i walk on the beach far away from others (but I always have it with me). When I’m on the pavement, I wear it, although I avoid those spaces with so many people no matter what. In shops, I always wear my mask, but it’s not even required there.
Stunning sunrise shots, some times they are even prettier than sunsets 🙂 Plus beautiful peace at the beach – the waves lapping, such a nice noice. And now you have half naked men to look at again…(giggles)

Lovely and funny all at once. Wish our weather was warmer for us to enjoy the outdoors more.

When lockdown began nearly 2 months ago, the weather turned and was mostly miserable. Saturday when restrictions were eased a bit, the weather turned glorious. We’ve had nothing but summer days since.
Just beautiful! And the tumbler is pretty easy on the eyes too!

Yeah, the tumbler was cute. He had a friend nearby who was a big, beefy hipster. Shaggy beard. Man bun.
I love those beautiful, still dawns on the beach that ease you into a new day. Love the flipper, too!
I ventured out to the bank today. Masks and distancing are mandatory here. Lots of uniforms around to enforce it, too.

I’m surprised at how few people wear masks when out walking. The majority of people do wear them in shops. But right now the only place they’re required is on public transport… and of course for all city workers, police, etc.
Oh, my goodness, I’m so glad you got to go for a walk on the beach!! And, with a sunrise like that!! Wooooo hoooooooo! Thanks so much for sharing what it looked like, with us. Amazing.

I have more sunrise photos than I could (or should) ever share. They take my breath away (not literally… it’s not a symptom).
Well, that WAS unexpected! Definitely a looker, though. The sunrises are amazing too!

I’d love to see if he’s there regularly. Would be nice to get a better video or series. But, I realized I’m only supposed to do one outing a day. Either in the 4 morning hours allotted or the 3 evening hours. And I really prefer the sunshine. Maybe someone else will perform one of these mornings.
Well he could flip out my frame any day … or what ever you kids say these days.

When I first saw the lead in picture, it for some odd reason reminded me of the Netflix show we are watching “The House of Flowers” colours, architecture, gay mense!
Now Mr.Flipo can do a flip can’t he!.
As we drove to our regular walking trail yesterday as we turned the corner to view the beach the sand was visible
It’s that time of year to be on the beach ~ fingers crossed for us.

We loved House of Flowers. For some reason, haven’t been able to get into the latest season. We’ve tried but it doesn’t hold our attention the way the others did. But oh the style and the art of the show. And, yes, the men! Really enjoying getting out simply for pleasure, although I do get a little stressed with the exposure. I’ve been sticking to the beach for those times, because it’s much less congested. Wishing you both well. Your walks (and your photo art) are inspiring.
We are in the same boat with you and SG re: House of Flowers. 3rd episode of 2nd season Jim fell asleep ~ that is a sure sign that the show isn’t going to be finished at our abode. Every time they say Virginia has died…. I look at Jim and say…. when did she die and is it a joke?! Now I don’t even care if she survives… I did say that didn’t I.

If Jim was already falling asleep on Season 2 (and I didn’t find it anywhere near as good as Season 1), then there’s no hope for Season 3!
