I HAD HOPED TO CATCH the different stages of the moon leading up to this week’s super flower moon. I didn’t plan, or keep track, very well.
I began my project Sunday (the first photo below) while I was on the beach watching some guy flip out. I missed Monday. I have no idea why. I remembered to take some pictures Tuesday (the second photo), a crystal clear night. Wednesday was cloudy most of the day. I was lucky, at first, to be able to find the moon at all. But then, finally, when all light was gone from the sky, there it was. A perfect moon shot.
And, thinking that Wednesday was the night of the supermoon, I didn’t even look at the moon Thursday. So I missed the last supermoon of 2020.

TENÍA LA ESPERANZA DE ATRAPAR las diferentes etapas de la luna que conducen a la súperluna de las flores de esta semana. No planifiqué, ni hice un seguimiento, muy bien.
Comencé mi proyecto el domingo (la primera foto de abajo) mientras estaba en la playa viendo a un chico voltearse. Me perdí el lunes. No tengo ni idea de porqué. Recordé tomar algunas fotos el martes (la segunda imágen), una noche cristalina. El miércoles estuvo nublado la mayor parte del día. Tuve la suerte, al principio, de poder encontrar la luna. Pero entonces, finalmente, cuando toda la luz desapareció del cielo, allí estaba. Un tiro perfecto a la luna.
Y, pensando que el miércoles era la noche de la superluna, ni siquiera miré la luna el jueves. Así que me perdí la última superluna de 2020. Haz clic en las imágenes para obtener una luna más llena.

our gov just extended our lockdown to 6/4. fuck. 🙁

The Capris! They were one of my thoughts for this post. Such a great song.
We had some bad news about the lockdown, too. We were expecting to go into Phase 1 of the easing of restrictions, but Málaga is one of the places that isn’t ready for that. So no restaurant openings, no gatherings of 10 friends… oh well. Maybe in 2 weeks.
I like that last quarter moon.

I took (poor) photos of the moon Wednesday night too, thinking it was full. Your photos are great with such wonderful detail. The last image might have too much detail for me!

I can’t believe I missed the actual supermoon! As for the last photo, I wonder what THAT tan line looked like.
Those moon shots are awesome! I always forget to look whenever any celestial happenings are expected. I make notes and then forget to look at the reminders. I do so miss camping where there are no city lights to impede ones view of the sky and stars. So many stars! Breath taking it is. Oh good grief, Yoda now?!

A “super flower moon”?! I somehow missed that announcement. I always think it’s so amazing, though, that the moon I see here is the same one you see and everyone else on the planet sees. It’s one of the few unifying experiences we all have in our global culture! (Well, that and McDonald’s.)

The fact that we’re all seeing the same phase of the moon is something that has always fascinated SG, too. (And McDonalds and KFC.)

I assumed (Get it? Get it?) he rolled down the suit to below the stripe to even things out. But I can never quite figure these out. There are nude beaches 10 minutes drive in either direction. He could even take the bus. And, about those socks…
I do hope you can catch some of the near-future super-moons as there aren’t that many more to come. The moon’s orbit is retreating from the Earth as focal point at something like 1 1/2 inches per year so that in just half a million years’ time if we are still here (corona virus permitting) we won’t even have full solar eclipses where the sun’s disc is completely obscured. So – you have been warned!

Being a Moon Child (Cancer) I am fond of keeping tabs of the moon’s waxing and waning. I like seeing a lovely full moon – well most of them.
