It rained a bit while I was in New York. I found it beautiful. We so rarely get a good rain here in Fuengirola although a heavy rain is predicted for Friday. The forecast calls for a 100 percent chance. So, maybe it will rain.

Isabel just finished making the apartment shine like the top of the Chrysler Building. Moose is sitting at my feet waiting for the next round of treats, which aren’t due for another hour and a half. Dudo is sitting on the low bookcase next to my desk. They’re both staring at me. Isabel gave them their treats at noon. SG and I got home at 12:45 and they shadowed me from the moment we arrived. At 1:15, Isabel picked up their plates from the floor and, hearing the rattle of plates, they both made a beeline for the kitchen. Dudo is now slapping his paper bag in frustration. (That sounds like it should be a euphemism for something).
We videoed with The Kid Brother last night and sang “Happy Birthday” in perfect harmony. We’re painfully talented. The entire time, The Kid Brother laughed (he was beaming) and shouted over us, “I think I’ve heard enough! Alright a’ready!” When I asked how we did, he said “I think I’ll have to tell you next week.” I’ll ask again next week.
Other than laundry, I haven’t decided yet what I’ll do this afternoon. The sky is bright with just enough clouds to make it interesting, and the temperature is 20˚C (68˚F) and expected to climb to 21C (70F) or higher.
Llovió un poco mientras estuve en Nueva York. Lo encontré hermoso. Rara vez llueve mucho aquí en Fuengirola, aunque se pronostican fuertes lluvias para el viernes. El pronóstico prevé una probabilidad del 100 por ciento. Entonces, tal vez llueva.

Isabel acaba de terminar de hacer que el apartamento brille como lo alto del edificio Chrysler. Moose está sentado a mis pies esperando la siguiente ronda de golosinas, que no llegará hasta dentro de una hora y media. Dudo está sentado en la estantería baja al lado de mi escritorio. Ambos me están mirando. Isabel les dio sus delicias al mediodía. SG y yo llegamos a casa a las 12:45 y me siguieron desde el momento en que llegamos. A la 13:15, Isabel recogió sus platos del suelo y, al escuchar el ruido de los platos, ambos se dirigieron directamente a la cocina. Dudo ahora está golpeando su bolsa [de papel] con frustración. (Parece que debería ser un eufemismo para algo).
Anoche grabamos un video chat con El Hermanito y cantamos “Feliz cumpleaños” en perfecta armonía. Somos dolorosamente talentosos. Todo el tiempo, El Hermanito se rió (estaba radiante) y gritó por encima de nosotros: “¡Creo que ya he escuchado suficiente! ¡Ya está bien!” Cuando le pregunté cómo nos fue, dijo: “Creo que tendré que decírtelo la semana que viene”. Volveré a preguntar la próxima semana.
Aparte de lavar la ropa, todavía no he decidido qué haré esta tarde. El cielo está brillante con suficientes nubes para hacerlo interesante, y la temperatura es de 20˚C (68˚F) y se espera que suba a 21C (70F) o más.
• Estaba buscando una pizzería tradicional de Nueva York. Los tres que conocía estaban cerrados ese día. No tengo ni idea de porqué. Esta foto fue tomada desde el vestíbulo del lugar que me dijeron que era el mejor. Muy lindo. Gama alta. Gastrónomo. Y no la tradicional pizza neoyorquina que tanto ansiaba.
