Sunrise/Sunset photos are going to get a bit boring (if they haven’t already), but sunrise Thursday took my breath away. Unfortunately, the rain and clouds that followed took away what was left. Yesterday was more of the same. Maybe a bit worse. Gray, cloudy, and rainy, and no breathtaking sunrise.

Today, however, is glorious. Breakfast outside. A walk with San Geraldo —making the rounds of the hardware stores to pick up supplies, but still a walk. We just had lunch out on the terrace. San Geraldo is now repairing a bathroom light fixture. After that, he’s going to hang new clothesline. I think I’ll head across the street to spend an hour relaxing on the beach. And that’s why he’s called a saint.

Never get tired of sunrises or sunsets! Keep them coming! You must get sore having to pinch yourself all the time…..these are fabulous Mitch!
Pretty soon, two months actually, we will be able to put our Hibiscus outside…..there you go.

I almost took more photos this morning. Glorious crescent moon with sunrise. But I went back to sleep! We never had success with hibiscus in San Diego (the white fly liked them too much). Here, they grow outside year-round. Really spectacular. We're tempted to try again.
I love to watch the ever-so-subtle changes of a sunset as they are happening from second to second – and these pics capture a lot of that.
But that hibiscus is particularly stunning. I wonder if it smells as glorious as it looks.

Unfortunately, I got my sunrise pictures all out of order. Otherwise, it could have been like Renoir's Rouen Cathedral. That hibiscus has no fragrance. I've never actually seen (smelled) a fragrant hibiscus. As I understand, there's only one native Hawaiian variety (a white flower from Kawaii) that has a fragrance.
Those skies are wonderful!

I used to sleep in complete darkness, but the sunrises are so stunning that I've taken to leaving the blinds up. Here, fortunately, there's something blooming year-round. I'm really happy to see the deciduous trees leafing out again!

And that's only one-fourth of the wisteria on that plaza. Both sides are lined with arbors filled with white and purple wisteria. Really stunning.
I never tire of these photos from the other side of the world. Keep them coming! And that wisteria truly is breathtaking.

Holy crow, so this is your view from your apartment!?!? Wow! How amaaaaaazing to be able to just cross the street to spend an hour at the beach. Woo hoo!

The wisteria has been blooming for at least a couple of weeks now. The joys of Southern Spain!
There are no two sunsets nor sunrises alike. Each is a new gift we only have for that brief time. I'll never get tired of seeing photos of them. And your flowers are so so ahead of ours. I wish I could get all my kids to move to a warmer climate with me! But I'll never go without them. So there.

I can understand you not wanting to move far from the kids. We don't have any, which is why we've been able to move so much (and take so many risks) in our lives. I'll just keep sharing photos of the beauty and wonderful (mostly) weather here. You keep hugging your kids!
I used to grow lovely flowers like this one, but they don't do too well in the Arizona heat. alas.

We had to relearn gardening when we moved to Palm Springs. Sevilla's summer heat also makes some plants/flowers more difficult to maintain. Here, it's more like San Diego. All we have to worry about where we live: Can it tolerate the salt air? Can it withstand the "breezes"?
Wow! That sunrise is gorgeous!! I love the many shots you got of it! We've finally got SUN in Sevilla and it's supposed to stick around for at least the next 10 days!
