I was sicker than I thought yesterday. I had painful cramps, dizziness, and nausea. Finally, after throwing up twice late in the afternoon, I was able to sleep for about an hour. SG went to the pharmacy and picked up some meds for me, but I don’t think they were necessary since, once I finally upchucked, I was tremendously improved. Having nothing to eat since breakfast, I was weak for the rest of the day. SG then went to the market so he could make me some toast and chicken soup. I slept through the night and am doing much better today.
As for the new television, I was not up to the task yesterday nor to any other task. So I didn’t do my part. I did, however, read how to attach the stand. But I was smart enough to not try since I probably would have dropped the TV. This morning, San Geraldo attached the stand and placed the TV on the table before Merchi arrived.
We just returned from coffee and I am about to attack the installation. I hope to have it done by lunch time.
Today’s photos are from a wonderful artisan shop in the Jewish Quarter. I can’t remember the name, but it’s on Calle Judíos. So far, I haven’t bought anything, although I’m always tempted. I really liked the flamenco above, but too easy to knock off the edge of shelf, I think. My camera switched to night mode while I was inside and I had to edit the photos to bring out the color and contrast. I did the best I could.
Oh, by the way, it’s raining. Merchi told me schools are closed today as a precaution against heavy rain and strong wind. She said she doesn’t remember a time in her life when schools were closed for this reason.
Ayer estuve más enferma de lo que pensaba. Tenía calambres dolorosos, mareos y náuseas. Finalmente, después de vomitar dos veces a última hora de la tarde, pude dormir una hora. SG fue a la farmacia y me compró unos medicamentos, pero no creo que fueran necesarios, ya que, una vez que vomité, me sentí muchísimo mejor. Sin comer nada desde el desayuno, estuve débil el resto del día. SG luego fue al supermercado para prepararme unas tostadas y sopa de pollo. Dormí toda la noche y hoy estoy mucho mejor.
En cuanto al televisor nuevo, ayer no me sentí capaz ni de nada. Así que no hice mi parte. Sin embargo, leí cómo colocar el soporte. Pero fui lo suficientemente listo como para no intentarlo, ya que probablemente se me habría caído. Esta mañana, San Geraldo colocó el soporte y el televisor sobre la mesa antes de que llegara Merchi.
Acabamos de volver de tomar un café y estoy a punto de empezar con la instalación. Espero tenerla lista para la hora de comer.
Las fotos de hoy son de una maravillosa tienda de artesanía en el Barrio Judío. No recuerdo el nombre, pero está en la calle Judíos. De momento, no he comprado nada, aunque siempre me tienta. Me gustó mucho el flamenco de arriba, pero creo que es demasiado fácil de tirar del borde de la estantería. Mi cámara se puso en modo nocturno mientras estaba dentro y tuve que editar las fotos para realzar el color y el contraste. Hice lo mejor que pude.
Ah, por cierto, está lloviendo. Merchi me dijo que hoy las escuelas están cerradas por precaución ante la lluvia y el viento fuertes. Dijo que no recuerda ningún momento en su vida en que las escuelas estuvieran cerradas por este motivo.
