I took San Geraldo to the Tower of London Friday afternoon. I released him after only a few hours. We’ll be home Sunday evening and I’ll start telling stories and sharing lots of photos.

I’m so pleased you persuaded His Majesty to release SG from the Tower for good behaviour! Jx
PS “No Way Out” does imply a rather doom-laden scenario – trapped in Gloucester Road Tube station for ever, and, ever…
Jon:
No way out does sound doom-laden. To American ears “way out” always sounded like a hippie exclamation.
So, no “off with his head” at the Tower???
I love the look of the Tube; it seems kind of elegant, though I am sure there must be dirty little bits.
Bob:
SG behaved himself, so was reprieved. We talked about how clean the tube was. Very impressive. Even the track beds were immaculate.
English, it is a simple language
David:
Living here I finally understand how truly complicated and inconsistent it is.
I don’t remember the Tower of London looking like a hotel corridor, LOL.
Debra:
That led to the royal apartments.
Follow the arrows……….I guess.
Jim:
And they’re hard to miss.
Cultural differences are everywhere, even in the Tower of London! Watch yourself in there!
Ron:
I wish I could remember the confused conversation we heard at the tower.
Simple. The two signs were painted by two different people, one of them a Jean-Paul Sartre fan.
Kirk:
And that’s how it all started!
I like the tube much better than the NY subway. I don’t know why, but I do. Safe travels home.
mcpersonalspace54:
It’s certainly much cleaner. Even the track beds were clean. Impressive.
Good question.
I like the look of that hotel 🙂

Judy C:
I’ll post about the hotel. Very nice… except for the bathtub/shower.
All I could think of after reading your title was this clip from the Flintstones:

Looking forward to lots of photos!
Kelly:
LOL! I don’t think I know of anyone else who would think of that clip!
On the tube, and you mean there was not one hot guy man spreading?!?!?!?!
Mistress Borghese:
One. But it was too crowded to get a photo. HOWEVER, wait until you see the photo I got just for you while waiting in the club lounge at the airport!
* salivating here*
Mistress Borghese:
He’s coming… soon.
Ah yes, the mysteries of the Tube. There are a million of ’em!
Steve:
We mastered it this visit. What fun… well, mostly. We were packed like sardines on the Piccadilly Line.
“Tower of London” … now that sounds exciting. Did you sense any ghosties?
Shirley:
I didn’t sense any ghosties. You might.
I how Mr. SG got along with the ghosts.
Urspo:
I don’t think he’d sleep there.
