I did my morning ear drops at 9 today. I set the timer for 10 minutes. I turned it off. I woke up again at 11. By noon, I had eaten breakfast although I was still sipping my morning tea. I really hate missing mornings, but I do feel rested.
Moose had his vomit shot at 5:00 yesterday. All’s well so far. The vet just called and scheduled the ultrasound for Monday at 6 p.m. I had somehow forgotten that English word and was calling it an ecograph because it’s ecografía in Spanish. It’s not as if my Spanish is so exceptional (I wish). It’s just lack of use of the English word.
Meanwhile, my shin is not constantly painful, but I’m always aware of it and the less time I spend prone, the more aware I become. It only seriously hurts when I walk into furniture. (So, don’t do that!) Still, I’m hoping to go for a good walk this afternoon. Screw the shin. Here are signs of spring I saw around town a week ago. I hope to see the new developments today. But it rained early this morning and there’s a good chance of rain the rest of the day. So there may be a change of plans. Crud!

Spring is busting out all over.
David:
And rain has returned!
YAY Moose!
Good that you plan to get outside for a walk…..always helps more than we realize.
Jim:
My walks are major therapy.
Fingers still crossed here for Moose – as well as for Dudo, just in case he needs them as well.
Raybeard:
We’re sadly expecting the worst when it comes to Moose. Dudo, too. Tough times around here. And we’re obsessing.
Good thoughts for Moose! Love the signs of spring; Cordoba is more beautiful than ever
Bob:
Well, the shot gave Moose more than a day of no vomiting. We’re not expecting good news.
Happy First Day of Spring! We’re getting wet snow here all day.
Debra:
Oh, ick! Sun and clouds here today with high temp around 24C!
It’s spring!
Love the climbing plants going to that balcony.
Yay for the kitty being better.
XOXO
Sixpence:
I loved the vine on that house. I hope to get back to catch it in full bloom.
Beautiful – my favourite season of them all… Jx
Jon:
Mine, too.
Happy Spring 🌸 🌷
Speaking of medical problems, got strep throat recently. On the end run of my antibiotics now. Luckily I didn’t have to go to the vet 😂

Adam Nekorandom:
Ooh, hope the strep wasn’t too bad. I’ve had that once and it was enough. Our vet gave Moose a treat the other day. (A salmon and tuna squirt.) You should be so lucky!
I love all your cheerful flower photos! If you don’t want the rain, send it my way. We’re still in desperate need.
Kelly:
It’s either feast or famine, isn’t it. Not long ago, Spain was stressing about the drought.
Sending you hugs for good news and changes coming up soon, all in the right direction. Springtime springing is good 🙂
Do cats ever get something like the rotovirus, like we humans do? Do you know?
Judy C:
I’ve read that cats can get rotovirus. But we’re wondering if Moose has ailing kidneys. The vet said maybe there’s a tumor. We’ll know Monday. Not looking good, but the boys are pushing 15. Sending you hugs back.
These masses of flowers is something I just love to see. It’s a real pick me up and makes one smile.
larrymuffin:
It does the same for me. I hope to see many more this weekend.
Wonderful pictures; you live in a paradise ;-)!
Oops, that was me, Jan from Perth.
Jan from Perth:
It IS a beautiful place. Although, I can only imagine how beautiful Perth is.
It’s so nice to see greenery and flowers in bloom somewhere, Scoot! Our snow is all gone, but it’s turned cold and windy — we may get the same wet snow as Edmonton, but more likely it’ll be rain and/or freezing rain.
I’m feeling much better today — as is Moose, I hope! Jeebus, I sure could have used some of SG’s homemade chicken soup this week. Could you please email me his recipe if he’s agreeable? Currently, I just add cooked chicken breast pieces to Campbell’s Soup, LOL!
Tundra Bunny:
Your Campbell’s adaptation would be fine with me. My mother told Jerry how to make chicken soup like my grandmother. Amazing. Lately, he’s just been doing his own thing. Also amazing. I see if he has a recipe. Glad you’re improving. Moose is not. His un-vomit shot haw worn off. He’s starting back slowly, so no major messes yet.
Vomitos! Do they come in BBQ flavor?
Walt the Fourth:
Oh, thank heavens, no!
I don’t blame you. I can’t remember the last time “ultrasound” came up in conversation.
Kirk:
Anyway, ecografía is so much more lyrical.
It is always good to be able to get out and walk. Whenever I go for a long walk, I always say “thanks” to whatever God is up there. Walking helps clear my mind. I hope that Moose continues to improve.
Michael:
We’ll know what’s going on with Moose Monday evening. Another walk today!
Those last 5 photos are particularly stunning (cue mother: “So you didn’t like the first three?”) Glad to hear the news re Moose! 🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛🐈⬛
Wickedhamster,
So, what was the matter with the first three? Tell me. Oh, Moose. At least he hasn’t thrown up again… yet. The shot is amazing although it does make him sad and lethargic.
Playing catch up. Glad Moose is not vomiting. for him and you. Pretty flowers. Spring is just luscious.
Ellen Abbott,
Spring around your place looks especially lucious.
Glad to hear the yakking has come to a stop for the time being. (And hopefully for good!) Loving the spring blossoms. Those flower beds actually seem pretty far along for this time of year, but maybe not in Spain.
Dudo blessed us with a few so far today, but Moose has had a nice break. My sense is the flower beds are lagging just a bit.
I too hope the Moose mends soon.
Urspo:
We’re expecting bad news about Moose today. We shall see.
