I’m still here / Todavía estoy aquí

Just to let you know I made it to New York just fine. I’ve been on the go since my arrival and am about to head off for the day again. I may not be posting until I return home after the 14th. Meeting cousins (some of my favorite people in the world) and The Kid Brother at the Brooklyn Museum soon. Here’s KB enjoying his favorite carrot cake at Mia’s Bakery Thursday.

    1. Jan from Perth,
Having a very nice time with family thus far. Jet lag will not leave, however!

  1. Enjoy! Please say hello to KB for me. Let him know I’ll be getting another card off to him next week (in between ABQ trips). X Mary

  2. I’m sure you’ll have a lot of good Kid Brother-and-cousins stories when you come back. I look forward to hearing them.

  3. Glad to know you’re having a good time. If that cake tastes as good as it looks, it must be wonderful!

  4. Boud here: KID brother?? He has good taste in cake. I love the Brooklyn Museum, always going for it when Manhattan museums wait to see which way the art wind blows..

    1. Boud,
When my mother was 88, she introduced some friends to her kid sister who was only 79 at the time. Brooklyn museum was wonderful yesterday. I was at metropolitan museum of art and Guggenheim Friday.

  5. It’s so good to know you’ve arrived safely and are enjoying yourself! Chuck has great taste in cakes. 🙂 Please give him a big hello from me!

    1. Jennifer,
Chucks favorite. And Mia’s is incredible. We talked about you. You’re “the one with the parrot.” Remember, he doesn’t say proper names.

    1. Debra,
It’s been wonderful. I’m hoping for a siesta today. Jet lag is killing me.

  6. I don’t know, Mitchell. That cake just doesn’t seem to have enough frosting.
    Ha!
Enjoy yourself. Tell us all about it when you get the chance.

    1. Ms. Moon,
Do you believe that cake? I’m saving up stories. This is my one day on my own.

  7. Gald to know you made it nice and safe. Enjoy the snow when it reaches NYC. IT has started here already. The Kid looks well too I may add!

I give you kudo’s for even having time to blog while away. I never have the time too.

    1. Mistress Maddie,
Blogging takes me twice as long on my iPad which is the challenge. So wish you could be here Wednesday!

    1. Shirley,
This is the USofA. Isn’t everything big here. But, yeah, that one slice could happily clog all your arteries.

  8. That’s quite a hunk of cake. KB looks good. I hope everything about the visit goes well.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Janiejunebug,
It’s been a pleasure with KB and some really wonderful cousins. KB is doing great.
