Honeymoon pyjamas / Pijama de luna de miel

La versión en español está después de la versión en inglés.

I’m leaving on a jet plane. I know when I’ll be back again. The cats will be relieved when San Geraldo returns. They’re not very happy around my suitcase. I spoke with The Kid Brother last night. He could barely contain his excitement. His roommate, Chris, was there and was also excited. I couldn’t get a word in edgewise and most of the time I was interrupting their combined reports of this season’s football statistics. Chris, at The Kid Brother’s request, checked the scores and standings while we spoke. I was laughing and my brain was rattling by the time we finished. I didn’t sleep much last night. Who knows? Maybe this will be the time I actually sleep on a flight.

Now I’m off like a pair of honeymoon pyjamas. I’ll write as soon as I can from New York.

Anoche no dormí mucho. ¿Quién sabe? Quizás este sea el momento en que realmente duerma en un vuelo.

Ahora me voy como un pijama de luna de miel. Escribiré tan pronto como pueda desde Nueva York.

They see us reach to the shelf with paper goods and run. Just in case it’s aluminum foil!

They were both a riot last night. We’re all very excited. About to take off for Madrid.

Not seriously expecting to sleep. But should be a pleasant trip. I’m in business class which really helps.

  1. Have a great rip!
    Have fun with the KB!
I imagine there are several pouty faces back home, but they’ll all get over it soon enough and then you’ll be back!

    1. Bob,
SG says Dudo is clearly missing me. I’m flattered. Trip went well. Had breakfast and am now waiting for KB t9 arrive for our first day together.

  2. Go well, my friend. And all and only the best wishes to all four of you for 2024.

I feared I should have set up a new file folder exclusively for D & M’s saved pics, instead of lumping them in with general ‘Blogpals’ pet pics. The present one will probably burst when I’ve loaded these new ones – new but absolutely indispensible.

    1. Raybeard,
And I’ll be sharing some saved pics of the photogenic twosome while I’m here.

  3. Boud here wishing you safe journey, happy landing in New York, and a good visit with your brother.

  4. “Off like a pair of honeymoon pajamas.”
    That is so great.
Your cats’ poses remind me that every cat is a supermodel.
    Travel safely, have BIG fun.

    1. Ms. Moon ,
I had a friend in Boston in the ‘80s who was a font of colorful expressions. Travel day went fine.

  5. Safe travels, Mitchell! I can’t wait to hear how it’s going when you get settled in New York!

  6. Bon Voyage, Mitch! I hope you have lots of fun in NYC…. and check your email as I sent you a meme the other day that I thought you might appreciate, LOL!

  7. The way the “boys” ran into the room, it was as if they were planning to come with you! Have a great trip, Mitchell! Jx

  8. You’re a visiting celebrity. I hope you’ve arrived safely by the time I’m writing this. The poor cats look exhausted. Don’t you ever give them a chance to sleep? Those childhood memories can be ugly. I hope you can knock them out.

    Love,
    Janie

    1. Janiejunebug,
Waiting for KB right now. He’s late! Looking forward to seeing him.

  9. Have a safe trip to NY. I am catching up on blogs today and I went back and read through your latest posts. You describing going home is exactly like I feel. A bit of trepidation because of some very unpleasant memories. But once I get there, I am good. I hope you will be too.

    1. Urspo,
You will be missed! We’ll make sure to talk about you! (And have only kind things to say.)
