I think I have a cold. I’ve been calling it allergies for two days, but overnight I began to think it was a cold. I’m sure I have a pill for this somewhere.
We have found, we think, new furniture for the terrace and we’re very excited. Two chairs, a two-seater and a low table. The seating has overstuffed cushions which will ensure the cats will spend a lot of time out there. I placed Dudo’s pet rug on the terrace yesterday to entice him, and I have proof he was there. He threw up on it. Or maybe it was Moose.
The spring sun has moved around a bit so we get more sunlight on the terrace (and bedroom) late in the day. It makes for interesting shadows. The interior shadow photos below were taken during winter in the bedroom. Those lights are now blocked by the leafed out trees so nighttime shadows are no longer as dramatic. Following those photos are people shadows. I have an entirely new vantage point!
There are three apartments on our floor. One was just sold and has been under renovation for several weeks. Everything is being torn out. One wall of my office abuts the hallway. I’m currently being serenaded (again) by the roar of a power saw. Given the amount of work being done, I have a feeling I’ll be listening to this for another month or more. At least I like the new neighbors, who may one day be able to move in. Time for a hot shower and another pill of some sort.
Creo que tengo un resfriado. Llevo dos días llamándolo alergia, pero de la noche a la mañana empecé a pensar que era un resfriado. Seguro que tengo una pastilla para esto por ahí.
Creemos que hemos encontrado muebles nuevos para la terraza y estamos muy emocionados. Dos sillas, una de dos plazas y una mesa baja. Los asientos tienen cojines mullidos que harán que los gatos pasen mucho tiempo ahí fuera. Ayer puse la alfombra de Dudo en la terraza para tentarlo, y tengo pruebas de que estaba allí. Vomitó sobre ella. O quizá fue Moose.
El sol primaveral se ha movido un poco, así que tenemos más luz solar en la terraza (y en el dormitorio) al final del día. Esto crea sombras interesantes. Las fotos de sombras interiores que aparecen abajo se tomaron durante el invierno en el dormitorio. Esas luces ahora están bloqueadas por los árboles con hojas, así que las sombras nocturnas ya no son tan dramáticas. Después de esas fotos hay sombras de personas. ¡Tengo una perspectiva completamente nueva!
Hay tres apartamentos en nuestra planta. Uno se acaba de vender y lleva varias semanas en reformas. Lo están demoliendo todo. Una pared de mi oficina da al pasillo. Ahora mismo me arrulla (de nuevo) el rugido de las herramientas eléctricas. Dada la cantidad de trabajo, presiento que seguiré oyéndolo durante un mes o más. Al menos me caen bien los nuevos vecinos, que quizá algún día puedan mudarse. Hora de una ducha caliente y otra pastilla.
