I’m writing from Brooklyn while I await The Kid Brother’s arrival at my hotel. My train ride to Málaga, commuter train to the airport, flight from Málaga to Barcelona, and my flight to New York were all possibly the best travel experience I’ve ever had from Spain. My premium economy seat was exactly like business class, which the plane doesn’t have. A fully reclining seat, tremendous legroom. Exceptional service. We arrived an hour early. No wait at passport control. My bag was tenth off the carousel. I breezed out the door and waited about 10 minutes for a taxi. And no traffic! Amazing.

Nothing like a smooth trip, especially when Coming To America these days.
Here’s to the rest of the trip being just as easy and pelasant and fun!
Bob,
Flying home tonight. Here’s hoping.
Love the arboreal decor of your hotel room!
Debra,
Fun idea.
So glad your trip was easy especially the arriving here part. Love your hotel room with that wonderful mural.
ellen abbott,
Each room has its own custom motif. This was fun.
A long way around, but your brother will be so excited to see you.
Thank you for letting us know you arrived safely and, it sounds like- sanely!
Ms. Moon
Ms. Moon,
Here’s hoping the return goes as smoothly.
It is great to hear that the trip went smoothly. Enjoy NYC.
David,
Thanks again!
When I woke up today I thought I sent a different presence in the US! That trip sounds very smooth. Thank you you’re lucky stars.
Mistress Maddie,
I hope to thank more lucky stars for the return trip tonight.
Well, this is good news. Great start to your trip. Be sure and say hi to KB from your imaginary friend Boud.
Boud,
I told him about you and showed him your work. He loved your art.
Happy yo hear all went well.
Jim,
And now for the round trip.
Cute how you got your face in the takeoff photo, now if you can only capture a pic of yourself sitting under that tree.
Shirley,
I’ll see how I’ do with a selfie under the tree.
Such a joy when a journey goes so smoothly…
I love that dramatic view of the Castillo Almodóvar del Río! Apparently it was used for the set of Game of Thrones [although I am none the wiser, as I never watched it].
Have a fun trip! Jx
Jon,
I forgot about the castle and Game of Thrones. I did watch it.
Yowza, what a smooth trip, Scoot! Now aren’t you glad I rubbed my bunny paws for you?!
Tundra Bunny,
Oh bless you and your bunny paws. Hope you’re rubbing them today!
Hooray! I’m glad it all went so well. What a unique hotel room! I like it.
Now you can relax and have fun.
Kelly,
Not the week I would have hoped for. Hoping for a smooth return tonight.
I’m not sold on that mural in your hotel room, but otherwise it looks like a great trip! What airline did you fly, again?
Steve,
I flew Iberia, but really their lesser stepchild, Level. I liked the idea of the murals but didn’t like the execution.
Mitchell, that’s just wonderful news!
Judy C,
Great start to a not all great trip.
And now the mayoral election in NYC. So much excitement. Enjoy!
larrymfiin,
Yes, the election news was wonderful to wake up to.
Okay… so you traveled from Cordoba to Brooklyn… two trains, two planes, five times zones and a taxi… and are now waiting on the arrival of your kid brother? Where is he coming from? Uptown?
Rade,
Hee hee! He is also in Brooklyn, about 15 minutes from me by train, which is why I stay here.
Yay to pain free travel and whimsical rooms! Thanks for checking in. Olivia
Olivia,
