We are so grateful Lindy and Matt are here this week and so especially lucky to have them in our lives. Matt is currently cheffing away in our kitchen while we all relax. I don’t know if I ever mentioned that San Geraldo was the officiant at their wedding. What a privilege that was. I’ve known Matt since before he reached the age of 4, back when we were Uncle Jerry and Mitchell. As adults, both Matt and his brother started calling me “Uncle,” too. The first time I heard that, I cried. Matt was adorable when he was 4 and he’s adorable now, an exceptionally kind and decent person, and with a wicked sense of humor. I hope to be just like him when I grow up. Lindy is also a wonder, a perfect match for Matt. We have been doubly blessed. They plan to move to this side of the Atlantic within 2 years. It can’t happen too soon for us (for them either really).
Most of today’s photos are from our dinner Monday night at restaurant Cebú, by la bodeguilla. The top photo is our reflection in the marbled mirror there.

• San Geraldo y yo comimos coulant. Uno cada uno. No lo compartimos.

• Matt y Lindy compartieron un donut braseado. SG no pudo ver cómo estaba braseado.
Happy times with wonderful friends.
The food looks exquisite!
Jim:
The food was excellent. Last nights, made by Matt, was even better!
Wish you all a Merry Christmas from all of us up north. This year both Terje and Ket is home.
Big hugs ❤️❤️

Elin:
We had a wonderful Christmas Eve that could only have been improved if you were here, too. Wishing you all a merry Christmas from us down south!
I believe I would even go out at night for a dinner with people like that.
Just beautiful! And the coordinating sweater and decor! I am swooning. Also- off to buy some red lipstick which I am now feeling in desperate need of.
Merry Christmas, dear Mitchell.

Ms. Moon:
It’s impossible not to love Matt and Lindy. Lindy improved the appearance of the restaurant.
All the food looks fabulous. I would leave if I could drag all my family along with me but alas. I would love to move to Portugal. Or Mexico for that matter.
ellen abbott:
Yes, that’s a hard part of moving far away. Some people are lucky enough to have those they’re glad to leave behind!
More food porn and friends! That Pluma Iberica looks particularly yummy! Jx
Jon:
I love pluma Iberica and this was especially good.
Lovely to see you all together. Good family, good food. That’s the holiday spirit! Thank you for sharing. Olivia
Olivia:
I can’t imagine a better gift than Matt and Lindy!
What a lovely family picture! Good food on top of it. It says a lot for you that you have and keep such friends.
Boud:
We’re very lucky.
That was forgetful Boud up there.
I wouldn’t share that lava cake either. SCREW the season of generosity and goodwill!
Debra:
Lava cake doesn’t count.
Sounds like all involved are having a lovely visit. And what more could you ask for than to have some family there then during the holiday season. A Happy Yuletide to you all.
Mistress Borghese:
And family that cooks!
No cameras in the men’s room please and you have a real-life Olivia following you
JSSW:
The real Olivia was even in Fuengirola a couple of years ago with her family. She lived up to the name.
Such a beautiful couple. I’m glad they are with you for the holidays, and before long, they’ll be near all the time.
Love,
Janie
janiejunebug:
We wish they were already here for good!
Molten lava cake would not be easy to share, so good decision each getting your own.
Kelly:
Certain things should not be shared.
Great way to spend the holidays, with those you love and some good food!
Merry Merry!!
Bob:
If not for Matt and Lindy, we would have let the holiday slip quietly by.
Ohhhhh, all so delightful!
Judy C:
S’wonderful!
So that’s why those wafers have stripes? I’ll buy that explanation.
Kirk:
Matt can be so helpful.
Happy Christmas Morning……have a lovely day.
Sunshine and clear skies here….nice change from all the recent rain!
Frances
Frances:
Finally some sunshine here today, too. Enjoy your day!
What a wonderful gathering and glorious feast!

Joyeux noël!
David Godfrey:
