Too Close To The Sun / Demasiado Cerca Del Sol

I HAVE ALWAYS been fascinated by the Greek myth of Daedalus and his son Icarus. Daedalus made wings of wax and feathers for himself and Icarus. He warned Icarus to not fly close to the sun or the sea. But Icarus, overcome by the joy of flying, flew too close to the sun causing the wings to melt. He fell into the sea and drowned.

My photo of the sun during Thursday’s sunrise made me think of Icarus.
