Time to Say Goodbye / Hora de Decir Adiós

La versión español está después de la versión inglés.

IT’S TIME, FINALLY, to say goodbye to Las Vegas — although we left nearly two weeks ago. There are no plans for a return visit. We’ll have to meet up with San Geraldo’s family someplace else — preferably (MY preference) someplace without casinos.

San Geraldo’s “Birthday Month” has officially ended. Appropriately, this is the last musical fountain number we saw on the Las Vegas Strip our final evening outside Bellagio Hotel and Casino. Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli.

Sara Brightman y Andrea Bocelli.

  1. Bye-bye, Lost Wages! I think that I’d like to visit one more time, just to see that fountain in person. Hmm, I wonder if there is a KOA park nearby. I’d like to keep the trailer safe from trash 🙂

    1. Deedles:
Yes, there are KOA campgrounds. Apparently the best is at Sam’s Town about 7 miles east of The Strip! AND… happy, happy birthday to a bright spot in my life. You are a joy!

      1. Awww, aren’t you sweet! I am now one my first day of driving illegally. My dmv appointment is next Wednesday. Hope the coppers don’t catch me, again. Not looking forward to it. I haven’t been in years. Renewed by mail it seems like forever. Now I hafta go in for Real I.D. Bummer! Well, maybe my picture won’t come out with me looking like a Samoan man this time.

      2. Deedles:
Ain’t nothin’ wrong with looking like a Samoan man. I just met one the other day and he was hot!

      3. Well, Duchess Deedles, I’D find you hot as a Samoan man. But then I’d find you hot no matter what. My California license expired and, since I no longer live in California, I can’t renew it. I still need to get my Spanish license, which is like starting all over again. Was about ready to take the written test when my retina detached. Then there was poor vision for 6 months and cataract surgery. I’m thinking of re-registering Monday and getting the written part out of the way! I WISH I looked like a smokin’ hot Samoan man. But then, I’m never satisfied. Speaking of smoking hot: We’re currently watching Season 2 of “Secret City,” Rob Collins from the Tiwi Islands… not Samoan but close. SMOKING hot!!!

  2. I am kind of over Vegas too – actually avoiding all of the USA until Orange Man is history but Vegas is wearing. Now I like to see the real world (unlike the lady in the last post). Hasta la vista Vegas!

    1. Cheapchick:
Must admit we’d like to avoid the USA right now, too. It was great to see Jerry’s sister, but being THERE was not a nice feeling. Anyway back in September to NYC for the annual visit to the Kid Brother.

    1. Jennifer:
Oops! You’re a bit behind. We were there for 10 days and have already been back in Spain that same amount of time. We’ve been home since the 3rd.

  3. Whatever happened to Sarah Brightman? Haven’t heard of anything new from her in years. I guess a visit to Wikipedia is in order.

    1. Debra:
And I paid a visit to Wikipedia, too. Apparently really not much in terms of performing.

      1. Bob:
Along with Michael Jackson? (Yeah, a Michael Jackson tune aired that night as well, but I decided to not share it here.)

    1. David:
Last time was driving through (on our way to Spain, sort of) in May 2011. I could wait double that… or more.

    1. Adam:
I have no interest in going back, but I’ve been there a lot and even lived there. It’s definitely worth seeing. Nowhere else quite like it.

  4. Okay when I read the title all I could think of was blind Italian guy and Andrew LLoyd Webber’s ex with the squirrel cheeks and buck teeth.

  5. Mitchell, sweetie, honey cakes, doll baby, I know there is nothing wrong in looking like a Samoan man. If you are a man! Being a woman, I’d rather look like a smokin’ hot female from anywhere! This time, no flowerdy shirt and I must remember to shave! I suppose the lipstick and mustache can be kind of confusing 🙂
