There’s a public “erection” across the street of five fingers coming out of the earth under a palm tree (so the palm tree is in the palm of the hand). There’s another identical one about 25 minutes away along the beach. Although it’s not original, it’s one of the few Fuengirola public “erections” I like. You can actually buy one for yourself a few kilometres up the road in Mijas.
I took this most recent photo of it on a walk the other day. I also managed to capture Sunday morning’s sunrise. I went back to sleep Monday. The first sunrise shot below was taken when I sat up in bed.
Just about every morning, San Geraldo empties an entire bag of frozen blueberries into a bowl and nukes them to defrost before adding cottage cheese. I usually make his coffee. Sunday, he was ahead of me in the kitchen and made both his breakfast bowl and his coffee. He got a little confused. He clearly needs my help in the kitchen.

I do envy your proximity to the ocean and the views.
Frank:
It’s always been important to me and this is the best we could have done. What made you choose New Mexico?
That first sunrise shot is so beautifully framed!
Debra:
Thanks. Some interesting views.
Beautiful pictures…as we are currently getting 5″ here.
And I’m sure you’ve seen other public erections you’ve liked just as much there, lol!!! I always liked this one when you showed it before. This art installation that is,not your erection.
Mistress Borghese:
I’d say I’m sorry it’s only 5 inches, but you know what to do with it.
Boud here, now I have to find you on the map, wonderful ocean, and other, views! Haven’t we all stumbled about in the morning, pouring tea over the cornflakes..
Boud:
I’ve poured the milk for my tea over my yogurt, fruit, cereal, and almonds. Not a MAJOR disaster.
Stunning views, and it must be time for the snacks.
David:
It’s always time for the snacks!
Such beautiful photos! It’s not just that you live in an absolutely gorgeous place but also your eye and ability to capture the best images. I rather like the palm tree in the palm of a hand.
Frozen blueberries are a common sight here in the mornings too. My husband puts them on and in his cereal but he does not bother to thaw them. Each to his own, eh?
Ms. Moon
Ms. Moon:
I love the palm tree in the palm of the hand and have caught it at some spectacular times of day — one especially was backlight by the sunset and front-lit by beach spotlights that had just gone on.
Love the beach shot of the Life Guard hut! The boys look like they could use a little confusion and perhaps some frozen blueberries too?
Tundra Bunny:
The boys turn their noses up at frozen blueberries (thank goddess).
I am so pleased to see that the weather has improved!
Never quite understood the appeal of blueberries (especially with cottage cheese!), but each to their own… They’re definitely no substitute for coffee! 😄 Jx
PS Love Fuengirola’s erections…
Jon:
Cottage cheese depends on my mood. But I love blueberries when baked into things. Erections can be very exciting.
Those views are stunning! Now I have a hankering for some blueberries.
Kelly:
I want blueberry muffins.
FYI, I made myself oatmeal this morning and put frozen blueberries in it. With a dash of cardamom. My hankering has been sated.
Kelly:
Now, I would love the blueberries with oatmeal. I used to regularly do that. Will have to do it again. Yogurt, cereal, fruit, almonds, and dried cranberries are good, but not almost every single day of the year. Of course, I have to buy microwave oatmeal!
Now THAT is a sunrise! Blueberries are a staple around here…..with cottage cheese, eh? Hm-m-m
Jim:
I sometimes love cottage cheese with breakfast. Sometimes, I don’t.
If I had a dollar for every public erection I’ve seen…
Sassybear:
How about for every one you’ve had?
Does San Geraldo take cream with his blueberries?
Kirk:
No. Not with the cottage cheese.
Apparently when Douglas MacArthur was running for president, he was popular in Japan and they wished him luck on his upcoming “erection.”
Adam,
LOL! Did you ever hear Gilda Radner as Emily Litella do an SNL news piece on presidential erections?
