Dudo has an appointment this afternoon with the veterinarian. The top photo is him cracking up as he yelled to Moose, “Did you hear that? They think they’re going to get ME in that cage! Dream on!”
Yesterday, Dudo was miserable the entire day. Today, he’s acting like he hasn’t a care in the world. I even gave him his new toy. I have one for Moose, too, but he hasn’t seen his yet. It looks to us like Dudo has a rectal prolapse. Maybe not as awful as we first thought, but certainly serious enough. We’ll know more this afternoon. The vet can explain it to us while we’re bandaging our own wounds from getting Dudo in the travel cage.
San Geraldo surprised Moose last night before bed and successfully shot an entire dose of meds into his mouth. He then told me that Moose hates him. Moments later, Moose crawled into bed and snuggled next to him for the entire night.

Hours of fun, batteries included.
David:
It’s got a USB charger!
Haaaaaaa! What great fun that toy is! And, we even got to hear a little, bitty meow at the end. Ahhhh 🙂
Hoping you two and Dudo survived the process of getting Dudo to the vet.
Judy C:
We’re making progress. I bought the cats a set of two fish. They loved them until Dudo had to go to the vet.
He does look rather cranky. And on a side note, I had much the same look when I found out it was Monday and had to get up.
Fun with kitties. They have the humans pretty much where they want them. I hope your er visits after you get him into the carrier go well.
Boud said that.
Boud:
You’ve seen the progress. More to come later today.
Mistress Borghese:
I imagine you made some of the same sounds as Dudo, too. He’s settled down now.
Laughing Dudo makes me smile; hopefully he’ll still be laughing later today!
As for Moose, our cats were the same way: they hated when Carlos gave them meds but forgot about it in a matter of minutes and were all lovey-dovey again.
Bob:
Dudo is not laughing yet, but he’s at least adjusting.
That flopping fish toy is too funny! Good luck at the vet’s this afternoon.
Debra:
I got a pair of flopping fish and the cats love(d) them. We’ll play again when all this is over.
Our ‘pets’ can be so forgiving….especially when food is concerned. Sending healing and positive energy to Dudo and you both.
Jim:
Thanks!
Yesterday Glen and I decided that our cats spend snuggle time with us because that is their job. They are paid with food and shelter. We think they probably have a secret time clock to punch to keep track of their hours.
Ms. Moon
P.S. Good luck getting Dudo in his carrier.
MsMaryMoon:
Dudo and Moose are on retainers.
Oh dear, it looks like Dudo found Nemo. I hope everything goes /went well today.
Deedles:
More to come later today.
I hope it all went well – getting Dudo into the carrier AND his appointment. Even dogs can be a challenge that way. Especially dogs like the ones we have who get to roam free. (I’m in a rural area and not irresponsible about it)
Kelly:
Dudo and Moose were alone in a little cage in a dismal shelter for the first 10 months of their lives. So they weren’t very sociable when we got them. It makes these events even more challenging.
I love the determination on Dudo’s face – “It’s the fish or me; only one of us survives!”

Jon:
It’s got USB power zipped inside. Dudo immediately went for the zipper.
I like the “Meow” at the end of that video, like what is this all about?
Kirk:
The meow was to tell me he wasn’t going to continue to play alone. I had to join in.
What a cute toy! That first photo should be captioned WHEN KITTIES KILL.
Love,
Janie
janiejunebug:
I know! He really did go on the attack.
Oh those crazy cats; when you love them they drive you crazy because they know they can.
Urspo:
I guess we REALLY love them.
