Humuhumunukunukuapua’a

I’ve been unable to comment on other blogs today. I’ve tried from my iMac and my iPad. Via Safari. Via Chrome. And via Firefox. I get a message that my comment is publishing. It remains in a loop and never succeeds. I was surprised to be able to reply to comments on my own blog. I’ve since noticed that there are no recent comments on other blogs. So, it looks like I’m not alone.

I woke up this morning singing “I want to go back to my little grass shack in Kealekekua Hawaii.” I have no idea why. It made me think of the humuhumunukunukuapaa’a, the state fish of Hawai’i, whose name I proudly learned when I heard this song as a child. Something I just learned today, however, is humuhumunukunukuapua’a translates to “triggerfish with a snout like a pig.’

I received today’s profound thought from my sister-friend, Susan, not long before she died in 2022.

It isn’t the ups and downs that make life difficult; it’s the jerks.

Not on his list. I just read that they’re extremely aggressive and are better with their own kind.

  1. I hope your commenting issues resolve themselves quickly. We can’t blog without you.

    Love,

  2. It appears that the commenting problem is (again) just on Blogger, not WordPress. Google’s gnomes have a lot to answer for… Jx
