Oh, my fur and whiskers!

Like the White Rabbit from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, I’m late. It’s approaching 8 p.m. and I’ve finally sat down to share something. And that is not much. Quiet day. I can tell you more Thursday when I’m on my liquid diet in preparation for Friday’s colonoscopy.

The Kid Brother is fine. We didn’t chat long because there was an awful drag on our connection. What?!? was repeated constantly. He didn’t go bowling over the weekend because he hadn’t gotten to the bank. I asked if he had money now and he snapped, “I go Fridays!” Laundry is Monday, if you didn’t know. Rules are rules.

Monday night, before my special diet began this week, we went to Goiko Grill for dinner. San Geraldo’s eyes were bigger than his stomach. He ordered nachos, asked for double on all the sides, but didn’t order the half portion.

A “limited edition” burger is on the menu called the Kevin Truff. Mushrooms and truffles, truffle rings filled with gouda, mozzarella, and cheddar, and mushroom sauce. It was delicious. But, as always happens when I eat a lot of mushrooms (and/or truffles), the flavors were eventally too rich for my tastes. It was my new favorite burger until I was almost done.

Tonight’s dinner will be steak and eggs. San Geraldo just ran to the market and discovered he had forgotten his wallet. He came home, picked it up, and is off again. He deserves that halo.

  1. Food porn again! I didn’t realise until I looked it up just now that Goiko Grill is such a massive chain over there in Spain. Apart from Plaza Mayor and Marbella (two places we never go when we’re on holiday), there aren’t branches on the Costa, so I doubt we’ll ever try it either. I see there’s one in a shopping centre in Malaga, but we don’t go to Malaga to eat burgers when there are so many lovely tapas places around… Jx
