I’VE TOLD YOU before about our nephew Matt and his wife Lindy. They are two of the kindest, most loving, most enlightened, and exceptional people we know. Click here to see how happy they make us when they make their annual visit to Spain.
Matt and Lindy both have restaurant backgrounds, Matt as a chef and Lindy in management. But their love is farming. They live in the city of Pierre, the capital of the State of South Dakota, where they started the first farmers market, which, with years of love and hard work, has grown into something exceptional. Matt and Lindy, and their company B&G Produce (click here), are currently featured in South Dakota Magazine (which, oddly, I can’t find on the newstands in Fuengirola) as well as on South Dakota Broadcasting’s show “Savor South Dakota.” The piece in South Dakota Magazine is all about fava beans. I remember from “Silence of the Lambs” that fava beans go well with a nice chianti.
Matt and Lindy go well with anything. They’re delicious.

Matt y Lindy ambos tienen mucha experiencia en restaurantes, Matt como un chef y Lindy en la gestión. Pero su amor es la agricultura. Viven en la ciudad de Pierre, la capital del estado Dakota del Sur, donde iniciaron el primer mercado de agricultores que, con años de amor y trabajo duro, se ha convertido en algo excepcional. Matt y Lindy, y su compañía B & G Produce, se encuentran actualmente en la revista Dakota del Sur (que, extrañamente, no puedo encontrar en los estrenos de Fuengirola), así como en el programa de South Dakota Broadcasting “Savor South Dakota” (que significa “Saborear Dakota del Sur”). La cuenta en la revista “South Dakota Magazine” se trata de habas. Recuerdo de la pelicula “El Silencio de los Corderos” que habas van bien con un buen chianti.
