I took my old 7 km / 4.5-mile walk yesterday without a problem (except for blisters on the bottoms of my feet from my sneakers). I walked to the end of the Paseo and the beginning of the city of Benalmádena where I saw the new, permanent pedestrian bridge being completed to connect the coastline walk. This is the site of the make-shift bridge I fell off in May (click here). The bridge will be completed too late for my use, but it was nice to see. No more climbing over a wall and walking the plank. Also nice to see yesterday were the studs of all ages and genders enjoying the beautiful day. I managed to capture just a few for your viewing pleasure.
Today, I will email the draft contract to the estate agent with our changes. The draft contract we received was a nightmare. We couldn’t tell if it was simply a regurgitation of an old contract with our names and numbers added (incorrectly) or if she had misrepresented everything when we talked. San Geraldo went through it and wrote his reaction. I translated that and added more. We were so annoyed that we actually thought (as SG and Elena both ideated) we’d be putting all our furniture in storage and renting something temporary in Córdoba.
The agent wrote back with responses to some things while ignoring others. To her credit, she responded to most. She told me “it was just a draft” and that I should tell them what we want changed (um, just about everything). So, I went through it again this morning and crossed out or added as needed. We’ll see what she has to say about that. However, it looks like it really was a regurgitation with no thought given to the details. We’ll likely sign and receive the keys Monday (gasp). After that, we won’t have to deal with the agency again.
We (SG) found an excellent international mover who will use external lifts (elevators) both here and in Córdoba. Much quicker and more efficient. And so much fun to take pictures of. It will only be to the 3rd floor here, but I’m sure my heart will skip a beat when I see it going to the 7th floor in Córdoba.
Ayer caminé sin problemas los 7 km que solía hacer (excepto por las ampollas que me salieron en las plantas de los pies por culpa de las zapatillas). Caminé hasta el final del Paseo y el principio de la ciudad de Benalmádena, donde vi cómo se terminaba de construir el nuevo puente peatonal permanente que conecta el paseo marítimo. Este es el lugar donde se encuentra el puente improvisado del que me caí en mayo (haz clic aquí). El puente se completará demasiado tarde para que yo lo pueda usar, pero fue agradable verlo. No más trepar por un muro y caminar por la tabla. También fue agradable ver ayer a los sementales de todas las edades y géneros disfrutando del hermoso día. Conseguí capturar solo algunos para que los vean.
Hoy le enviaré por correo electrónico el borrador del contrato a la agente inmobiliaria con nuestros cambios. El borrador del contrato que recibimos fue una pesadilla. No podíamos decir si era simplemente una regurgitación de un contrato antiguo con nuestros nombres y números agregados (incorrectamente) o si ella había tergiversado todo cuando hablamos. San Geraldo lo revisó y escribió su reacción. Yo la traduje y agregué más. Estábamos tan molestos que en realidad pensamos (como idearon SG y Elena) que guardaríamos todos nuestros muebles en un depósito y alquilaríamos algo temporal en Córdoba.
La agente respondió algunas cosas e ignoró otras. Para su crédito, respondió a la mayoría. Me dijo que “era solo un borrador” y que debería decirles lo que queremos cambiar (pues, casi todo). Entonces, lo revisé nuevamente esta mañana y taché o agregué lo que fuera necesario. Veremos qué tiene para decir al respecto. Sin embargo, parece que realmente fue una regurgitación sin pensar en los detalles. Probablemente firmaremos y recibiremos las llaves el lunes (jadeo). Después de eso, no tendremos que tratar con la agencia nuevamente.
Encontramos (SG encontró) una excelente empresa de mudanzas internacionales que usará ascensores externos tanto aquí como en Córdoba. Mucho más rápido y eficiente. Y es muy divertido tomar fotografías. Solo será hasta el tercer piso aquí, pero estoy seguro de que mi corazón se acelerará cuando lo vea subir al séptimo piso en Córdoba.
