After our stroll through Soho’s Urban Market last week and before San Geraldo got back on the train, we had lunch at La Fábrica – Cruzcampo in Soho, a microbrewery, restaurant and club. The place is enormous, excellent, and so very hip, so it’s an easy option in the city. And it’s well air-conditioned. We arrived early for Spanish lunch (I think around 1 p.m.) and there were few people there. It began to get busy while we ate. I’ve shared photos of the food in the past (click here). After SG went home, I continued my wanderings. I saw a few door knockers that I thought I’d share here. The last was on the main door of a former private place. I’ve shared a few shots of the palace as well.
As far as my upcoming surgery goes (click here), I’m doing fine. At this point, I’m not feeling at all stressed or concerned. In situations like this, I tend to do well when things are completely out of my hands. I’m simply looking forward to having everything scheduled.
Meanwhile, we’re meeting great local friends for lunch tomorrow, dinner Sunday with friends from Norway in the town of Elviria (about 15 minutes away, where my driving school was located), and then Nick and Alyson arrive for several days.

Después de nuestro paseo por el Urban Market de Soho la semana pasada y antes de que San Geraldo volviera a subir al tren, almorzamos en La Fábrica – Cruzcampo en Soho, una microcervecería, restaurante y club. El lugar es enorme, excelente y muy moderno, por lo que es una opción fácil en la ciudad. Y está bien climatizado. Llegamos temprano para el almuerzo español (creo que alrededor de la 1 p. m.) y había poca gente allí. Comenzó a llenarse mientras comíamos. He compartido fotos de la comida en el pasado (haz clic aquí). Después de que SG se fue a casa, continué mis andanzas. Vi algunos llamadores de puerta que pensé que compartiría aquí. El último estaba en la puerta principal de un antiguo lugar privado. También he compartido algunas fotos del palacio.
En cuanto a mi próxima cirugía (haz clic aquí), estoy bien. En este punto, no me siento en absoluto estresado o preocupado. En situaciones como esta, tiendo a hacerlo bien cuando las cosas están completamente fuera de mis manos. Simplemente estoy deseando tener todo programado.
Mientras tanto, quedamos con grandes amigos locales para almorzar mañana, cenar el domingo con amigos de Noruega en el pueblo de Elviria (a unos 15 minutos, donde estaba mi autoescuela), y luego llegan Nick y Alyson para varios días.

That a convenient sized palace. I’ve always liked convenient sized palaces, so much easier to look after.

We learned about the courtyards in Sevilla. Behind many doors are these beautiful open spaces and, often, gardens.
I’m a beer drinker and I love sampling local/regional varieties, so that would be my kind of place to visit. (as long as they have plant based options on their menu)
