San Geraldo had some iPhone SIM pin PUK problems to take care of today. Did anyone else not know what a PUK number was? If you don’t, it’s the number you use if you can’t remember your SIM pin. Did we have any clue where to find that? Of course not. Did the online instructions work to help us find it? Not on your life. So, off we went.
Vodafone can be found in shopping malls here, but the one in the mall nearest us moved out last year, so we headed south across the river, outside the city (a first for San Geraldo) to the Arcangel Mall in the neighborhood called Arcangel. The woman at Vodafone was wonderfully kind, patient, and helpful, and we got everything taken care of, plus she checked out our service plan and got us a lower rate.
San Geraldo then took a taxi home and I thought I’d wander the mall, since our nearby mall is not much, and then I’d walk the 36 minutes home. Well, the Arcangel Mall is not much more than the other, so I didn’t spend much time there and simply came home with a few sidesteps to see the sights.
Today’s photo is a style we rarely see in Córdoba. I thought you might enjoy it. I wonder if she bought it all at H&M. I took one look and went “Hmmm.”
That lady’s ONE fashion mistake is having such a dull, conservative umbrella.
Debra:
I know! I was so upset and kept complaining to SG. Moments later, while still following her, an elegantly dressed woman passed carrying a white umbrella festooned with huge, colorful, geometric flower forms. I told SG I wanted to ask them to swap umbrellas momentarily.
And the shoes are too plain!
Has shopping in malls died out in Europe the way it has in the US? I haven’t been in a mall in years. That woman could be found in a snowstorm. Perhaps she’s prepared for a blizzard.
Love,
Janie
janiejunebug:
I don’t know how it is in all of Europe. Málaga province still has some large, quality, very popular malls. There’s another in Córdoba that I’m told is the best, but I’ve never visited.
YIKES! That is very hard on the senses.
Appears she is gay friendly, so that is good.
Jim:
I wonder if she’s gay friendly or just rainbow friendly.
Oh, how excellent to have had such friendly and helpful service! I have AT&T, and they are absolutely miserable.
Judy C:
We had Movistar before we moved. Great and responsive technical and repair service. In their shops, my experience was almost always horrendous. Vodafone yesterday was a wonderful surprise. The experience in their old store last time was the pits.
I’m with Debra- what the hell’s going on with that umbrella?
Shine on, butterfly!
Ms. Moon
Ms. Moon:
I’m with Debra, too. I muttered with SG the entire time. I actually wanted to swap umbrellas with another woman for a better photo.
I wish you could have.
Always nice when a trip to the phone store leads to a better plan with a lower rate! That happened to us when we got our last phones.
Kelly:
A very nice surprise!
Ha! I haven’t seen a clash of colours quite like that, this side of Iris Apfel or Zandra Rhodes… Jx
PS Shopping centres are nothing to get excited about. Over here, you can just about guarantee that all you’ll see is the same shops in every one of them: Primark, River Island, Next, Monsoon/Accessorize, Marks & Spencer, Boots, Superdrug, at least three sports shop chains, TK Maxx, Holland & Barrett, B&M, a few jewellers, Costa Coffee and Greggs.
Jon:
These two shopping centers have very few shops and mostly low-end. I’m told there’s another one that is better, but I doubt I’ll get there. Málaga has some good ones now, lots of shops, great variety, good places to eat. Even Fuengirola’s Parque Miramar has seriously upped its game. It was disappointing when we arrived there in 2013.
Patience above! I am one for color but this ensemble is too much for me. On the other hand, Good for her for wearing it in public.
Urspo:
A rare sighting in Córdoba. But she blew it with the umbrella.
I like that lady’s coat and her leggings & sneaker combo, but not at the same time. And I’d give wearing Frida Kahlo on my ass a pass, LOL!
Tundra Bunny:
I thought the separates were fun, too. But if she was going to go for it, she should have given more thought to the umbrella and the sneakers. I wouldn’t want Frida Kahlo on my ass either.
…or as I say, “Honey, you got it ALL going on!”
Rade:
Except for the umbrella and sneakers!
That is a breathtaking array of colors and patterns, not in a good way. It kind of stunned me. Shock and Awe.
David:
I haven’t seen the likes for a while. I was excited.
She reminds me of my husband’s Aunt Florence, now passed on many years. She was a ‘flamboyant’ dresser. I love people who throw caution to the wind and wear all kinds of crazy stuff.
ellen abbott:
Her hair was a bright shade of henna. I wonder what she’s like.
I wonder if a bet was involved. I’ll dress normally but use a weird umbrella..
Boud:
I was peeved (and SG heard about it) that she used such a bland umbrella.
I somehow missed this post and when I saw that outfit, I was kinda happy about that!
As for the phones … I know nothing.
Bob:
Sorry there were no plaids.
