I know there are plumbago (the first two photos below of blue flowers) and jacaranda (the final three purple-flowering trees), and a rose, but I’m not quite sure about the rest. I just know it’s glorious down on the Paseo de Córdoba. I noticed we have several books on the birds of Spain and Europe, a butterfly identification book, one of insects, and one of the mammals of Europe. Time to buy another on the trees and flowers.
Dudo now spends most of his time on the terrace, when he’s not demanding a treat of course. I’m glad he’s happy on his rug on the floor. We liked the look of the rug on the chair, so we’re shopping for three new rugs for out there to add a bit of color and comfort.
I’ve just returned from the roof after hanging laundry. It’s hot up there, currently 34˚C/94.2F and is supposed to climb to 39C/102.2F. It’s usually hotter than forecast.
Elena and Tynan are driving up from Fuengirola today for a couple of days and we can hardly wait. I don’t know if we’ll go to the fair in the heat, but I really don’t want to miss my first Feria in Córdoba. Whatever these next days bring with our friends, it will be sweet (and hot).
Sé que hay ceonotos (las dos primeras fotos de abajo son de plombagina) y jacarandas (los tres últimos árboles de flores moradas), y un rosal, pero no estoy muy segura del resto. Solo sé que se ve espléndido abajo, en el Paseo de Córdoba. He visto que tenemos varios libros sobre aves de España y Europa, un libro de identificación de mariposas, uno de insectos y uno de mamíferos europeos. Es hora de comprar otro sobre árboles y flores.
Dudo ahora pasa la mayor parte del tiempo en la terraza, cuando no está pidiendo un capricho, claro. Me alegra que esté feliz en su alfombra en el suelo. Nos gustó el aspecto de la alfombra en la silla, así que estamos comprando tres alfombras nuevas para añadir un poco de color y comodidad.
Acabo de volver de la azotea después de tender la ropa. Hace calor ahí arriba, ahora mismo 34 °C/94,2 °F y se espera que suba a 39 °C/102,2 °F. Suele hacer más calor del previsto.
Elena y Tynan vienen hoy desde Fuengirola para pasar un par de días y estamos deseando que llegue. No sé si iremos a la feria con este calor, pero no quiero perderme mi primera Feria en Córdoba. Pase lo que pase con nuestros amigos, será un día dulce (y caluroso).
