Today’s views from the Three Kings parade struck me as interesting or odd (or both). The crescent moon over the Torre de la Malmuerta (click here) was a nice start. I couldn’t capture it well with my phone, but you get the idea.
Then there were the surprising crowds standing out in the cold, which warmed up the air a bit. The police department and fire department had contingents. The fire department had an emergency vehicle loaded with bags of candy. Ready for an emergency. There were a group of women dancing with glowing balls. San Geraldo thought maybe they were the vestal virgins. I wonder whose balls.
So, now the holiday is over and I can focus on other things. I need to cut my hair and beard, but I can’t find the charger for my shaver. I bought a new extra-long (I thought) shower curtain for my bathroom to replace the not long enough shower curtain I had bought. The new one is the same length as the previous. I still haven’t used my shower. (However, I have showered.) We bought two magnifying mirrors for our bathrooms. San Geraldo put his up and discovered the magnification is much too strong. So I now have to buy another new one. I feel like I’m buying a lot of “another new ones.”
The sofa covers will be delivered Saturday. I think I’ll take some photos of the living room despite the fact that the comfy, bold chair won’t be here for possibly a few more weeks. We’ll be getting a new clothes washer and a new refrigerator soon. We have to shop. The best part is we’re not paying for them.
Now, back to work. There are still pictures to be hung and spaces to be cleaned and organized. I need to get back to it while I’m still in the mood.
Las vistas de hoy desde la cabalgata de los Reyes Magos me parecieron interesantes o extrañas (o ambas cosas). La luna creciente sobre la Torre de la Malmuerta (haz clic aquí) fue un buen comienzo. No pude capturarla bien con mi teléfono, pero entiendes la idea.
Así que, ahora que las vacaciones han terminado, puedo centrarme en otras cosas. Necesito cortarme el pelo y la barba, pero no encuentro el cargador de mi afeitadora. Compré una cortina de ducha nueva extra larga (creía) para mi baño, para reemplazar la cortina de ducha que no era lo suficientemente larga que había comprado. La nueva tiene el mismo largo que la anterior. Todavía no he usado la ducha (sin embargo, me he duchado). Compramos dos espejos de aumento para nuestros baños. San Geraldo puso el suyo y descubrió que el aumento es demasiado fuerte. Así que ahora tengo que comprar otro nuevo. Siento que estoy comprando muchos “otros nuevos”.
Las fundas del sofá se entregarán el sábado. Creo que tomaré algunas fotos de la sala de estar a pesar de que el cómodo y llamativo sillón no llegará hasta dentro de unas semanas. Pronto compraremos una nueva lavadora y un nuevo refrigerador. Tenemos que ir de compras. La mejor parte es que no los vamos a pagar.
Ahora, vuelvo a trabajar. Aún quedan cuadros por colgar y espacios por limpiar y organizar. Necesito retomarlo mientras aún tengo ganas.
• Pidiendo dulces a los bomberos. Aquí no se nota, pero el bombero de la derecha trajo mucho calor.
• Cómo debe estar equipado todo vehículo de emergencia.
• ¿Vírgenes vestales con bolas brillantes?
• La sensación de que hay una fiesta a tu alrededor pero no formas parte de ella. A veces me he sentido así en mi vida. ¿Y tú?
