Here are the few photos I took while we were at Cirque du Soleil on Sunday. We took the above photo when we first arrived before heading inside the tent. We had no idea the clown (the one in the middle) would end up taking me up on stage for my star turn (the previous post).

While we’re on the subject of adoring public, San Geraldo was running some errands in our neighborhood Monday afternoon when he heard a voice call out, “Jerry?” He turned to see a family of three. The woman immediately introduced herself as Olivia, a reader of my blog. She recognized him from the photos I’ve shared. She’s not a blogger herself but has always been a pleasure to chat with in comments. They were here for a few days for the beach portion of their travels and on their way to Mesón Salvador for lunch as a result of my blog.

When SG got home and told me (he was so excited to have been recognized on the street), I quickly ran over to Mesón Salvador to say “hi.” What a pleasure. Olivia was hesitant about contacting me, not wanting to appear pushy, so I was delighted she recognized San Geraldo. We ended up meeting them (Olivia, her husband, and their 19-year-old daughter) for dinner. What a warm and exceptional family. I had wanted to go to a truly great nearby tapas place but I forgot (yet again) that they’re closed Mondays. The next place I wanted to go was a few minutes further away. They were closed for a brief vacation. So we landed at another nearby place that’s very popular but I had never tried. Staff were delightful, but most of the dishes were quite ordinary. I felt badly about that but it was still a pleasure to spend time with Olivia and family.

And now San Geraldo keeps telling me he’s famous. Need I remind him, he’s only famous thanks to me? Nepo baby!

Monday morning began with a CT scan, and yet it’s been a truly sweet couple of days. And now I’m on my way to my public health doctor to get my new prescriptions added to my coverage and to give her an update on my lab work and nephrology visits. At least it will be a walk in the sunshine.

  1. You are looking so happy and healthy! Good to see. It is time for your 15 minutes of fame.

    1. David:
I don’t want it to be over. And that was the most activity I’ve had in months.

  2. I absolutely love the snapshot of you two in the final photo!!!!!!! LMAO!!! That is cool you got your star turn. Now prepare yourself, the paparazzi will be relentless!!!! I suggest you invest in a nice head scarf and dark shades for the incognito moments.

Poor San Geraldo or Carlos can’t catch a break any can they??? How nice to meet up. I have met just readers too, and they do get hesitant to contact to meet up, but bloggers enjoy them too!!!! I’m meeting up with one in Rehoboth shortly. I think it’s great you all had a nice time together.

    1. Mistress Borghese:
Yes! I think we’ve found our look. I really love that wig and was so excited when I got to wear it momentarily.

  3. Boud sez famous at last! At least by association. What fun to meet new friends. I’ve found people are very much like their onscreen personas, in person.

    1. Boud:
I haven’t been disappointed by people I’ve gotten to know well via blogging. Olivia and family were great and we wished they lived here.

  4. Your notoriety will cross the Atlantic, for sure. Broadway here you finally come! LOL

    1. Ron:
I plan to be there again in January. I’m sure I’ll be cast in something by that time!

  5. Ahhhhh, that is such a fun story 🙂
(It’s weird how, when I comment from my iPad, my name comes up as J Chabot, but when I comment from my desktop, it comes up as Judy C).

    1. Judy C:
How odd. I HAD wondered about that. There are others whose names change; must be for the same reason.

  6. I would be pleased to meet SG in his own right and not just because of your blog. He seems like such an adorable, cuddly, bear.

    1. Kelly:
He IS cuddly. We’ve been repeatedly told he gives the best hugs ever.

    1. Steve:
But I want to be Helena Bonham Carter! Or as she called in Spain: Eh-LAYNAH Bone-HAHN Car-TEAR.

  7. It’s nice that you’re getting some much deserved attention. Both of you.
    Ms. Moon

    1. Ms. Moonsigh:
(I will eventually stop calling you that.) We both do often like being the center of attention.

    1. Sassybear:
It’s happened to us several times here, which is really fun. Usually, however, it’s someone saying “You’re San Geraldo, aren’t you?!?”
