I think these are all leopard prints, although there may be a cheetah mix, as well. They’re everywhere. Plaid (tartan) mixes are not so common here.
I’ve been recently having problems with a clogged ear and it’s making me dizzy. I’ve tried the home remedies with no success. So I got an ear spray from the pharmacy. After four days, I don’t think that’s any help either. As a matter of fact, it may do more harm than good. I sprayed yesterday and we went out to run an errand and then go to lunch. My ear was still clogged and I had to stop constantly to hold onto whatever was nearby. My vision gets dark and blurred, my head feels hot, and things start to spin. I have to grab onto something or I know I’ll spin to the ground. Fortunately, San Geraldo was often there to grab onto (I tend to leave him in the dust on our walks now). It was the worst I’ve been. We came back home, I took a Paracetamol, and I went to bed. I’m fine in bed (ahem, not even). The Paracetamol knocked me out for a few hours and, when I got up, I had no more clogged ear and no more dizzies. So far, no dizzies today. But the ear just closed up again. Something else to go to the doctor for. I’m glad the office is only three minutes away
I walked over this morning because I only have enough of my special medication to last through Friday. Lots of good news. I have an in-person appointment with my new public health nephrologist Tuesday of next week. Good timing because I have an in-person appointment with my new private nephrologist Friday of next week. I haven’t yet received a message about the appointment at public health. I assume that will come. Interestingly, the person noticed I also have an appointment (17 December) with a public health nephrologist in Málaga province at a hospital near Marbella. That was five months coming and does me no good now. Oh, and the reason for being there today: I have a phone appointment with the nephrologist Thursday evening to get my prescription.
Our money is in the bank, so today is the day we’ll order our sofas and comfy chair. We’re so excited. San Geraldo continues to plug away at the piano. He’s making excellent progress. He’s got one more large glued piece to remove and then it’s back to screwing… I mean unscrewing. We both wish it were back to screwing. I didn’t get much done yesterday and I hope today will be more productive. I at least need to do a load of laundry.
We also want to look into having the terrace enclosed so the cats can go out whenever they want — instead of ordering us to return to the living room and open the door for them, and then watch them until they come back in, and then get ordered to open the door again two minutes later. And they do NOT win the second time. Ha! Anyway, right now they mostly just stick their noses in the air and sniff. The traffic noise startles them. They tricked us into eight treats yesterday.
Hasta ahora, hoy no he tenido mareos.
Ambos deseamos volver a atornillar.

I see where there won’t be a shortage of “fashionable” photos at your new abode!
sillygirl:
Not of the same type as Fuengirola, but plenty to see. Lots more chic around here.
My reaction to the first photo was, now I know where Mrs Doubtfire retired. With those as the fashionable party toggs for the ladies, what do the men wear? The dizziness should be looked into. It has been a while since a doc peered into my ears. Take care!
David:
Those appeared to be just day wear. I wonder what fashionable party togs look like. Lots of men in tight pants!
Smile,
Mixing plaids I have no issue with, and the same fror stripes and paisleys BUT animal print? I think arrests need to be made!
Get that ear checked–I know you will!
Bob:
Uh oh, here come the fashion police… in their plaids, stripes, and paisleys!
I once had a several-week bout with a stuffed up ear (crazy trying to teach when I could barely hear my students), and tried lots of remedies that attack from the outside… but, then I learned that it was likely a blocked Eustachian tube (I had had a cold, and I think that blowing my nose had caused some stuff to lodge in there). One of the suggestions, was to use Flonase (Fluticasone Propionate is the generic), which is normally for fighting nasal allergies… but, you aim the spray kind of differently, than when you are going straight up the nasal cavity (you can find info and images online, if you’re interested). Worked for me after a while! One day, I blew my nose, and out flew this perfectly smooth, little cylindrical 1/4 inch blockage… just like a smooth eraser…. no more blockage! (Apparently, the Eustachian tube dysfunction can also be caused just by inflammation in there, or the inflammation causing the buildup to be kind of stuck… symptoms can include the dizziness you describe, too).
Courage!, as we say en français

Judy C:
The ear has been stuffed on and off since the other day, but no dizzies. I’m getting it checked out.
The animal prints look weirdly like lichen growing on the people. I think all things considered, they’re better on the animals.
You do need that ear situation checked out, I agree. Let us know how all your appointments go.
That was Boud up there, giving unlicensed medical advice.
Boud:
I like some of the outfits. As for the ear, it’s always something!
I’ll add to all the unsolicited advice: sounds like an infection/get it checked out .
One of my sisters would fit right in with these leopard prints!
Was wondering how the cats have adjusted to the new place…..good idea to close in the terrace. They will be most appreciative!
Jim:
The cats seem to be in heaven here… except when SG slams away at the piano.
Oh yes.
Animal prints will be a thing in 2025. For guys also. I think I may refrain.
And I also had an ear thing and I stopped putting drops in my ear. I went to the ear doctor and he did some magic and my ear was like new.
XOXO
Sixpence Notthewiser:
Yes, enough with the home remedies! I’ve seen animal prints for men and I’ve really liked some of them. I just don’t know if it’s me.
2 observations:
— that whole outfit on the plaid number makes my eyes hurt
— hookers never go out of style
You might want to look into getting that ear replaced…
wickedhamster:
The plaid number is worn buy a very sweet neighbor. I’ll giver her a pass. Hookers DO never go out of style. Best ear advice so far. Isn’t it 70 years or 700,000 miles?
Leopard print-a-go-go! Jackie Collins would be right at home.
Spanish girls on a night out all tend to look like 70s hookers, in my experience. Mind you, British girls on a hen do tend to look like darts players in drag, which is infinitely worse! Jx
Jon:
You need to see more Spanish girls on nights out away from the Costa del Sol. Very different. And, yes, Jackie Collins!
Oh, to be as lithe and supple as Dudo! Alas, that mixed plaid/winter boots combo is how EVERY Canadian dresses. And not just in the winter, lol.
Debra:
Yes, that neighbor does look Canadian! I do wish I could be lithe and supple like Dudo. I’m now impressed if I can step confidently off a curb!
Oh, wildcat prints never go out of style in my opinion. Leopard, cheetah, jaguar, whatever. They all make whoever is wearing them look fierce and sleek!
(Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha.)
By the way, I have some leopard print tights. I love them.
Moonsigh
Ms. Moonsigh:
If I could find leopard print socks in my size, I’d buy them in a heartbeat!
Ah, to be as limber as a cat….
I hope you get the dizziness sorted out quickly. My younger daughter deals with chronic mechanical vertigo and it’s not fun.
Kelly:
My dizziness is not at all consistent and clearly related to the ear. I’ve made ANOTHER appointment. And, I would LOVE to be able to get in some (not all) of those cat positions.
Hooker styles! That’s everyday wear for me! Now, I have to get after you about your ear: Don’t you dare go out by yourself! Maybe it’s impacted wax and maybe it’s an infection but getting that dizzy means no going out alone until it’s diagnosed and gone. I don’t know what homemade remedies you used. I have had a lot of trouble with clogged ears because of wax and skin flakes (for some reason my ears produce more wax than the average bear’s) so I use an OTC wax softener regularly and then allow the force of shower water to clean out the ear. But if it’s an infection, my method could be bad for you. I’ve only had 2 ear infections in my life. They were horrible, with dizziness and fever. Something else could be the problem but I don’t want to learn you’ve been out alone, fallen, and hit your beautiful head.
Love,
Janie
janiejunebug:
Well, I’ve found the perfect shop for you. And it’s right across the street from Mercado Victoria. You can shop and then go for lunch… or a drink! My beautiful head! I hit it three times yesterday while working!
I never heard of ear spray. I still use ear drops after which I have to wash out my ear with one of those rubber bulbs. I guess it works but the whole thing feels awkward.
Kirk:
I was surprised by the ear spray. It’s very easy. But I’ve stopped using it, since it got so bad AFTER I used it the other day.
I hope you feel better soon. Nothing worse than having a plugged ear. I sometimes get water in my ear from the shower, and when I can’t get it out, it’s enough to drive one nuts. Are you sure you don’t have a wax build up?
Mistress Borghese:
I don’t know what the build-up is. Maybe too much information!
Thanks for the continued fashion photos! I love them! Sorry about your ear. I hope it gets cleared up soon. When I came back from Italy this summer, and had Covid, my ear got plugged up, and it took over a week for it to clear. Everything sounded as if I was in an echo chamber. Flying didn’t help matters at all. Good luck!
At least people are not just wearing black outfits there is some colour and madness in it all.
larrymuffin:
Coming from NY, I used to wear almost exclusively shades of black and gray.
