The terrace furniture is here and we like it even more than we expected. I’ll share photos once things are arranged. We’re playing around with placement. I don’t think the cats have been on it yet. I found no cat hair on the white cushions.
Today has already been a productive day after a frustrating Monday. Yesterday, I went to the offices that register province and city residents to find out why ours is taking so long. I waited 20 minutes at the Information desk and was given a phone number and email address. I wrote this morning and, if I don’t hear back (which I’m sure I won’t), I’ll phone tomorrow. After that, before lunch, I tried to pay the balance on our terrace windows. My debit card wouldn’t work. I then received a message saying it had been deactivated due to possible fraudulent activity. I forgot I also have a credit card that I could have used. I had planned to shop for clothes on my way home. So much for that plan. I was, however, able to pick up a couple of prescriptions. I had the €4.
I received a message from the bank telling me if my purchase was legitimate I could simply refresh my card in the bank’s app. I did so and went back to the window shop after siesta. My card still didn’t work. I phoned the bank this morning. I was told I should cancel that card and order a new one since the card had been compromised. I explained, again, that the card had not been compromised, I had been trying to pay a bill. He reactivated the card, so it’s back to the window shop this afternoon and maybe clothes shopping.
I’m considering linen for summer. Keep a good thought for me (and my card). Meanwhile, come see more sights.
¡Menudo plan!
Cuídame (y a mi tarjeta).

What a place this is! Thank you so much for sharing Córdoba with us.
I’m excited to see the new furniture! Lots of exclamation points today! Ha 🙂 Fingers crossed for good outcomes with the debit card use and the resident registration.
Judy C,
And I have seen so little of it. I’m back in shopping heaven!
Now I need to see the furniture! And that old lady is a role model for walking unassisted. I bet those uneven walkways have contributed to her fitness. Along with hardy DNA.
Jim,
Yep, DNA and luck!
It wuz boud. Speaking as an old lady..
Annoyances like that are a pain in the ass, aren’t they? I hope everything gets straightened out.
Debra,
Card is working. Today’s the day for the registration phone call.
Love the “Behind the Gates” photo; just so pretty.
I was at our bank this morning closing an estate account I had opened when my father passed and it was like jumping through hoops to get it done; bureaucracy! Pffffft
Bob,
There are so many views like that behind the gates. It’s kind of magical. Even more surprising are the courtyards behind walls and doors.
You already closed the estate account?!? We had to keep ours for years! Congratulations.
When I closed out my father’s checking account, they wrote me a check for the balance, then they announced that interest had posted, and wrote me another check, as I recall for 3-cents. I cashed the check for 3-cents.
David:
At least they didn’t bill you 3 cents. That really annoys me. But what did you do with that 3 cents? I hope you didn’t spend it all in one place.
I guess my father had everything so organized and simplified that it was time!
Bob:
I also forget the fact that my mother’s was complication by writing my disabled brother and niece out of the will. I then had to establish myself as guardian of property for him (a pain in the ass) and get a sign off from her father that she understood the will (another) pain. Topping it off was the lawyer appointed to represent them in New York who disappeared for a year and a half.
If you hadn’t mentioned the pigeon, I never would have noticed the trace evidence. Good luck on getting the card to work.
David,
I didn’t immediately notice the pigeon prints.
That first photo is stunning! It’s hard to believe those flowers are all real…
Imagine living in a house with a courtyard like that?! I’d cope. Jx
Jon,
That photo was from another patio during Patios de Mayo. I would love a house with a courtyard. Those are apartments and although it’s beautiful, I don’t think I’d enjoy sharing it with others.
I have to agree with my fellow gin blossom you have me the first photo, again that’s a stunning picture! And I think I would be intrigued to see the Hermitage of Aurora.
Mistress Borghese,
I have so many patio flower photos and I didn’t even see a tenth of them.
I don’t use my debit card anymore because I had a similar thing happened with SunTrust Bank where they canceled my card without telling me. So I just keep multiple credit cards

Adam,
Sabadell has been the pits! The banks all say it’s for our protection, but it’s for theirs. They are regularly denying legitimate charges and blocking the card.
All those cobblestones! Treacherous, yes, but LOVE that look.
What a beautiful city.
Jim,
I agree. And some streets are especially treacherous in that neighborhood.
These are all beautiful shots as your photos always are but I think my favorite is the water with the pigeon prints. It’s just cooling and sweet and it tells a story, too.
Maria Luna
María Luna,
Thanks. That’s one of those bonus sightings I love.
I must be easily entertained because I gasped with delight when I saw the pigeon prints! I love linen and hope you find some nice things (and can use your card to pay for them!). Photos please.
Kelly,
Well,I’m easily entertained, too! I bought two shirts. Pics to come.
That first photo with the purple and white flowers is absolutely stunning! I can’t wait to see your new terrace furniture. How frustrating with your bank card! Hopefully it is all settled now.
Michael,
So far so good with the bank card. The flowers on the patios were out of this world.
Oh, Lord. I hope the card works! So were you affected by the big phone/Internet outage today? (I guess the fact that I’m reading a post from you is a good sign!)
Steve,
I wasn’t even aware of the outage. Salesperson told me about it when I went again to pay the bill. But all was well by then.
Say what you want about coins and paper money, they can’t be compromised (though, of course, people can be compromised BY them.)
Kirk,
I just hate carrying around a couple thousand to pay bills and shop for clothes.
Those pigeon tracks are priceless — great timing, Scoot! When it comes to outdoor spas, the pigeons of Cordoba are certainly spoilt for choice, LOL!
Tundra,
All the birds have so many places to cool off, drink, and bathe. I was delighted when I spotted those pigeon prints.
Egad! The staggering beauty of that city never seems to end. And you capture it so well. 😘
wickedhamster:
Thanks! I’m still amazed by what I see.
That’s a shame about the Hermitage of Aurora. I love the pigeon prints! So funny!
Steve:
I liked the trough-like look of the fountain and then noticed the prints. At first I thought there were painted on.
