Well, The Kid Brother’s office staff took him to a new supermarket in his neighborhood to see if they could line up a job for him. The manager met him and said to fill out an official application, which they did. Here’s hoping.
I can’t believe he still wants to work with his bad knee, but he’s bored and the extra money would clearly make a huge difference. Meanwhile, I have his bank information and I hope to successfully send him some money today to help him get by this month. It seems he has a new resident manager (again) and this one has been very responsive. Maybe we’ll have better times ahead.
I put away yesterday’s laundry (whites), which I forgot on the roof overnight, and I have another load of laundry (bed linens) in the machine right now. I have to go make up the bed with fresh linens. No disasters or petty annoyances so far today.
San Geraldo’s aquarium plants arrived yesterday and, right now, he’s placing them. It’s looking beautiful. Next comes the water; I think I’ll make myself scarce. Walk with me.
Bueno, el personal de la oficina de The Kid Brother lo llevó a un nuevo supermercado de su barrio para ver si podían conseguirle trabajo. El gerente lo atendió y le pidió que rellenara una solicitud oficial, cosa que hicieron. Crucemos los dedos.
Me cuesta creer que quiera trabajar teniendo la rodilla mal, pero está aburrido y el dinero extra supondría, sin duda, una gran diferencia. Mientras tanto, tengo sus datos bancarios y espero poder enviarle algo de dinero hoy mismo para ayudarle a salir adelante este mes. Parece que tiene un nuevo administrador residente (otra vez) y este se ha mostrado muy atento. Quizás nos esperen tiempos mejores.
He recogido la ropa de ayer, que olvidé en la azotea durante la noche, y ahora mismo tengo otra tanda (ropa de cama) en la lavadora. Tengo que ir a hacer la cama con sábanas limpias. De momento, no ha habido desastres ni contratiempos molestos en el día de hoy.
Ayer llegaron las plantas para el acuario de San Geraldo y ahora mismo las está colocando; está quedando precioso. Lo siguiente es el agua; creo que me apartaré un poco. Acompáñame.
