It gives me fever / Me da fiebre

La versión en español está después de la versión en inglés.

I spoke too soon. I was disappoined yesterday afernoon to not feel as well as I had previously. At 9:30 last night, I had a fever of 101.8. I took another paracetamol. San Geraldo phoned our brilliant doctor nephew Ryan and told him what’s going on. Per his advice I’ll be taking paracetamol every 8 hours whether I have a fever or not. If I still have a fever Tuesday, we’ll drive to Urgent Care to get me checked out. Here’s hoping it doesn’t come to that. I also took another Covid test, which was again negative. Did some sweating during the night. Not the fun kind. Temperature this morning is significantly below normal. This is boring. Isn’t it? Let’s go back, in photos, to the Mezquita/Cathedral in Córdoba.

.

I must have been in doubt a lot these days and I must be in recovery mode. I finally reached my limit on resting overnight. Too much time in bed.

  1. Always love photos of the mezquita and these are all wonderful!! Hope that darn fever stays away. Good that you have a brilliant nephew who is a doctor 👍

    1. tobyo:
The nephew is seriously brilliant and not a know-it-all. He’s at times obtained info from colleagues to reassure us. He kept me sane during my mother’s last hospitilization when I had to make a decision about back surgery. A good person. Thanks regarding the mezquita photos. I’m always disappointed in what I capture when I’m there.

    1. Jon:
Thanks. I’m always a bit disappointed with my interior shots of the mezquita. Especially on mob scene days like this one was. No time to adjust the lighting or take multiple shots.

    1. Bob:
We always listen to the nephew and do what he says. He has helped as well as reassured us many times. What a resource.

    1. Debra:
That DOES look intriguing. What a voice cast — except for Matthew McConaughey playing Elvis Presley sounding exactly like Matthew McConaughey. Do you find that odd?

  2. Health information is more important now – we all need to know symptoms and what is going around.

    1. Shirley:
It’s been a long week. But I’ve now got Hot Stuff playing in my head and that’s kind of fun.

  3. Get feeling better soon…..sending positive and healing energy your way.
    Stunning photos of the Cathedral.

    1. Jim:
I’m afraid to say it aloud (or in writing) but here goes: No fever since Sunday night!

  4. Scoot, honey, take it easy. Even when you start feeling better, don’t behave like you’re well. That always comes back to knock you off your feet. Give it enough time to go through your system fully. I’m just talking about my experiences. It sounds like menopause to me!

    1. Deedles:
That’s usually my way — behaving like I’m well. It really annoys SG. I sure didn’t do that this time. I’m WAY too old for menopause.

  5. Hope you’re back to 100 percent, Mitchell.
Love the multi-dimensional aspect of the photos – trying to figure out what’s in the foreground vs background. The structures are beautiful and mesmerising.
    Cheers.

    1. Robyn:
I have images from the mezquita that would be cool in black and white. Very confusing.

  6. That cathedral is absolutely stunning! And I love stained glass in any form or fashion.

I’m sorry the fever returned. I still think it’s flu and hope it’s now burned itself out. Keep resting!

    1. Kelly:
I hope we’re right about it being flu. That’s sure what it felt like. I THINK I’m over the worst and now into recovery mode. I’ll take one more paracetamol today and then take my chances. The mosque itself for me is what’s truly magnificent. Simply done with design and craftsmanship. No tons of gold and jewels. Although some of that is stunning.

  7. While I would normally appreciate visions of you hot and sweaty, this is not what I want. Please get checked out if you don’t feel better, soon. Better safe than sorry. Sending healing hugs.

    1. Sassybear:
Oh, no, that kind of hot and sweaty is NOT a turn on. I THINK I’ve turned the corner. (I’m afraid to commit.)

  8. Those pictures! I didn’t get to Cordoba when I was in Spain. Looks like I really missed something.

It seems unlikely that you’d have a high fever with a negative Covid test if you had Covid. But then, I am no expert, as we’ve all seen. :/

    1. Steve:
Córdoba is one of the highlight cities of Andalusia. And it’s so close to us. As far as the multiple Covid tests go, that was overkill. My nephew said to take a second test and, if that was negative I certainly didn’t have Covid. But I did a third. Nuts.
