As of today, I’ve shared my favorites of the Lagunillas public art and graffiti. I have probably two dozen more images, but I don’t want to bore you all. The remaining ones didn’t sing to me the way so many of these have. So, here’s what’s left for you to see unless you visit the neighborhood on your own.
The snowy egret in the final gallery image sits at the bottom of the wall beneath bodybuilder, which appears to be dedicated to someone in heaven — or maybe he survived a hospital stay (check out the cherub holding the IV). The heart image (the picture before the bodybuilder) reads: “In my heart there is an empty space with views of the sea.” In my photos, rather than only focus on the art, I’ve tried to pull back at times to give you an idea of the setting. I hope you’ve enjoyed taking this walk with me.
The framed dish towels (and one pillowcase) are on their way to Sarah. Click here to see a sampling of the dish towels San Geraldo’s grandmother made for him for his 21st birthday. Sarah selected three of the chef in fishnet stockings doing actual cooking. Sarah is a chef. She has never shared any photos of herself in fishnet stockings.
Our Mexican meal in La Galeria across the street from the Post Office was, as always, excellent. We hadn’t been there for a while and we got hugs and kisses from the woman who works that counter. That made it even better.

A partir de hoy, he compartido mis favoritos del arte público y el graffiti de Lagunillas. Probablemente tengo dos docenas de imágenes más, pero no quiero aburrirlos a todos. Los paños de cocina enmarcados (y una funda de almohada) van de camino a Sarah. Nuestra comida mexicana en La Galería al otro lado de la calle de la oficina de correos fue, como siempre, excelente. No habíamos estado allí por un tiempo y recibimos abrazos y besos de la mujer que trabaja en ese mostrador. Eso lo hizo aún mejor.
