I managed to get out for a 35-minute walk in yesterday’s 35˚C (95˚F) heat. Again, I could have done more, but I’m being careful to not push it.
I see the doctor again tomorrow and am not expecting another good news visit. I made the mistake of checking the results of Friday’s lab work online, and those numbers in the thousands that had gone down dramatically last time, have climbed up this time. Not by much, but it’s the wrong direction and I just have to say it pisses me off.
It’s cloudy right now. The sun will be back this afternoon, and it’s expected to be a bit cooler than yesterday. We had a wonderful dinner with friends from Glasgow, Maureen and Connor. Two exceptional individuals. Maureen is commonly known as Connor’s Mum. But we had the pleasure of an evening with Maureen and Maureen’s Son.
You might remember Connor as our friend who kept us waiting and then apologized by saying “Having hair is hard.” And he lived to see another day. They were late the other night and Maureen texted as they left their apartment: “Connor fixing hair.” He insists that wasn’t true. They’re both worth the wait.
Our friends from Colchester, Nick and Alyson, are in the air right now making their way here for the week. So, it will be a very good week. Wishing you the same.
Logré salir a caminar 35 minutos con el calor de 35°C (95°F) de ayer. Una vez más, podría haber hecho más, pero tengo cuidado de no forzarlo.
Mañana volveré a ver al médico y no espero otra visita con buenas noticias. Cometí el error de verificar en línea los resultados del trabajo de laboratorio del viernes, y esas cifras de miles que habían disminuido dramáticamente la última vez, han aumentado esta vez. No mucho, pero va en la dirección equivocada y sólo tengo que decir que me cabrea.
Está nublado ahora mismo. El sol volverá esta tarde y se espera que haga un poco más de frío que ayer. Tuvimos una cena maravillosa con amigos de Glasgow, Maureen y Connor. Dos personas excepcionales. Maureen es comúnmente conocida como la mamá de Connor. Pero tuvimos el placer de pasar una velada con Maureen y el hijo de Maureen.
Quizás recuerdes a Connor como nuestro amigo que nos hizo esperar y luego se disculpó diciendo: “Tener pelo es difícil”. Y vivió para ver otro día. La otra noche llegaron tarde y Maureen les envió un mensaje de texto cuando salían de su apartamento: “Connor arreglando el cabello”. Él insiste en que eso no era cierto. Ambos valen la pena esperar.
Nuestros amigos de Colchester, Nick y Alyson, están en el aire ahora mismo y vienen aquí durante esta semana. Entonces será una muy buena semana. Deseándote lo mismo.

• Observación de las cotorras y el resto de la acción. (Necesito lavar esa mosquitera).
• Puedo cruzar la calle y alquilar una tumbona en la playa, o puedo caminar 5 minutos hasta donde el amor es amor. Caminaré 5 minutos.
• ¡He encontrado nuestro próximo coche!
• Me pregunto, ¿tengo alguna otra razón para existir?
• Todos tienen un propósito.
