I already received the results of Monday’s separate blood test (tacrolimus levels). Perfect. I know it’s an important one, and I’m grateful for that outcome.
After coffee and second breakfast out this morning while Elena cleaned, we had lunch at home and finished watching the film, Manchester by the Sea. Excellent and overwhelmingly depressing. At the moment, I’m not so sure I should have watched it, but it was so well done.
We had cherries and Ines Rosales tortas for dessert. Did you know that Spain is the second largest producer of cherries in Europe? San Geraldo brought home picota cherries a variety that has been around since the 17th century. They usually lose their stems when ripe. They’re protected by a denomination of origin certificate and can only be grown at farms within the Valley of the Jerte in the Sierra de Gredos mountains about 400 km/250 miles north of us. They were as delicious as the hype. They say: “A picota is always a cherry, but a cherry is not always a picota.” (“They” really do.”)
As for the Ines Rosales tortas, this week San Geraldo has called them Ziggy Lopez; Inez Romano; Ines Rosales (he got it right once); and today, Rita Morenas (which sounded like Rita More Anus).
Encontré los pantalones de abajo en internet buscando ropa. ¿Qué camisa me pongo? Algo a cuadros, creo. Pero no tengo ni idea de qué hacer con las tiras de bondage.

Después del café y el segundo desayuno fuera esta mañana, mientras Elena limpiaba, almorzamos en casa y terminamos de ver la película Manchester by the Sea. Excelente y abrumadoramente deprimente. Ahora mismo, no estoy seguro de si debería haberla visto, pero estuvo muy bien hecha.
De postre, comimos cerezas y tortas de Inés Rosales. ¿Sabías que España es el segundo mayor productor de cerezas de Europa? San Geraldo trajo a casa cerezas picota, una variedad que existe desde el siglo XVII. Generalmente pierden el tallo cuando maduran. Están protegidas por una denominación de origen y solo se pueden cultivar en fincas del Valle del Jerte, en la Sierra de Gredos, a unos 400 km/250 millas al norte de nosotros. Estaban tan deliciosas como las anunciaban. Dicen: «Una picota siempre es una cereza, pero una cereza no siempre es una picota».
En cuanto a las tortas de Inés Rosales, esta semana San Geraldo las ha llamado Ziggy López; Inez Romano; Inés Rosales (acertó una vez); y hoy, Rita Morenas (que sonaba como Rita More Anus [Rita Más Ano]).
