I still have plenty of photos from our visit to London last month. Today’s selection is from Gloucester Road, a few minutes from our hotel, Radisson Blu Edwardian Vanderbilt, plus a couple of our Spanish cats — who are currently giving me the evil eye while they await their treats, round two.
My plantar fasciatis has improved significantly. I’ve been running errands with what feels like only a slightly bruised heel. It’s so much better in fact that I’m once again aware of the bunionette on the other foot. I think I’m grateful.
I bought the cats (Dudo really) new toy mice yesterday. He keeps bringing them into my office for me to play with him. He was so adorable yesterday afternoon when we were down on the floor playing together that I rolled over and hugged him tightly. He tolerated it.

No sé si Moose quiere acurrucarse o simplemente obligar a Dudo a salir. Dudo no parece contento.

• ¿No parece Moose cómodo? ¿Y engreído? Agarró la silla de la oficina antes de que San Geraldo pudiera reclamarla. Mira esa sonrisa.

Nice neighborhood. Are there any huggable cats?
David:
I did see one beauty in a window (and that’s where I want to see them when I’m out and about).
Moose’s smug smile of victory! Dudo’s look of long-suffering annoyance! Hahahaha!
Debra:
They are quite the pair.
What a great picture of Bailey’s. It was the first hotel I stayed at in London back in 1969. We stayed there again in 2016. Love it both as a young and an old traveller.
Anon:
How cool. It looked like a great place and was magical outside at night.
These are the most expressive cats ever! No doubt what they’re thinking, largely world domination.
I keep forgetting to inject my name, Liz aka Boud.
Liz:
They ARE expressive. It always surprises me.

LOVE those buildings!
Jim:
I think I still have some more London street pics to share.
Now you know I loved that old church. And did someone say pub????
Mistress Borghese:
We did fall in love with The Gloucester Arms and were treated like old friends there. It didn’t hurt that the young and sexy bartender had a major crush on San Geraldo.
My cats occasionally play with the toys I buy them. I know this because I can hear the little bells in them jingling but if I should be so rude as to walk into the room where they are playing, they immediately stop and look completely uninterested as if there is NO WAY that they would risk their dignity by playing with a toy. And they stalk off.
Here’s another thing I do not quite understand- if I get up out of my chair to go get some coffee or stir something on the stove, which takes less than a minute, I’ll come back to find him curled up on the chair, looking for all the world as if he’s asleep and is incredibly irritated when I make him move.

Ms. Moon:
That behavior sounds just like Moose. Dudo brings me toys to throw so he can fetch them. And, oh yeah, curling up in a pre-warmed chair is the best thing ever.
Some great old, very well-kept buildings there on Gloucester Road.
Kirk:
It’s a very well-kept neighborhood with so much to see… if only I could have walked that week.
Love the architecture though i’d turn the church into condos or something, with the round corner being part of my unit!
As usual, The Boys! Oy!
Bob:
I love church conversions. I’d want that round corner, too.
Ah yes, I recognize the gelateria with the neon signs. Looks like they added those dangly (Christmas?) lights after we saw it when we met at the pub! Glad your plantar’s is better.
Lovely photos, both English and Spanish. (sweet kitties)
I don’t know what a bunionette feels like, but I DO know what plantar fasciitis feels like. I think you should be grateful!
Kelly:
Yep. Between the bunionette and plantar fasciitis, I’m grateful the plantar fasciitis is the first to go.
I love the London photos! And the cats, of course. And the good news about the plantar fasciitis 🙂
Judy C:
Yeah, I’m a bit whiney but relieved I’ll be able to walk in NYC. I’ll miss the cats… and SG!
Oh those crazy cats what would we do without them? Answer: we could sit down.
Urspo:
Oh, they like when we sit down.
I always enjoy your travel pics, even if the travel is just down the street. That’s a wry smile indeed!
Walt the Fourth:
SG told me I had to get my camera because Moose looked like he was celebrating his ownership of the chair.
Keep the photos coming. It’s the closest I’ll get to London and The Butt Brothers.
Love,
Janie

I’m still finding London photos I haven’t shared. As for the Butt Brothers, I’ll never run out.
