I’VE BEEN OBSESSED with my driving school practice exams because I plan to soon take — and pass — the written test. I haven’t been paying attention to much else. I go out every day for morning coffee where I do two online crossword puzzles, blog, and socialize. Then I walk and stretch, and try to minimize the discomfort from my sciatica. (Enough about that!) Then lunch. Then the driving school. Then errands and whatever else. Oh, yeah, I’ve got a melanoma on my side to be removed Thursday. But it appears to be nothing and it doesn’t have me as preoccupied as my Spanish drivers license. Dudo and Moose continue to be sweet and annoying. Dudo has basically come out of his winter hibernation. After spending most of the past several months in front of the space heater in San Geraldo’s office, he is now once again following me everywhere, placing his toys at my feet, and demanding my attention. The only time he gives me a break is when he’s bossing around San Geraldo or monitoring drain holes on the terrace and in the front hall for wayward birds… or when he gives up and takes a solo siesta. He prefers my company. There’s no accounting for taste.

HE ESTADO OBSESIONADO con los exámenes de practica de la auto escuela porque planeo tomar pronto el teórico. No he estado prestando atención a mucho más.

Busy guy you be!
Mosse is one beautiful cat!
Good luck Thursday and with driver’s license.
Jim:
That’s Dudo. Moose will get his own post. Thursday is nothing but an annoyance. Thanks.
dudo amo papi! good luck this week – YOU CAN DO IT!
Anne Marie,
Thanks! And papi(s) love Dudo.
That Dudo, he’s so regal! He also has wicked looking teeth. Here’s hoping you ace your test.
Deedles,
And he has never used those teeth on anyone but his brother … and one unfortunate sparrow. Two very sweet and gentle cats.
The King has purred.
Adam,
That’s him!
Dudo obviously has very good taste!
Susan,
Well, he IS very choosy, so I suppose I’m honored.
Wait, now… back up… melanoma to be removed? Boo hisss! Please reassure us with good news as soon as you have more.
(You do TWO crossword puzzles AND walk and blog before lunch!? )
Love that Dudo!
Judy,
The melanoma is apparently nothing to worry about it… since it was checked (accidentally). Will tell the story later this week. I do the Boston Globe crossword at home with breakfast every morning. Then at coffee I do the NY Times (we pay for that one) and the LA Times. I LOVE crosswords and the more you do them the easier they get.
I will keep a good thought for your side. 🙂 Of course Dudo wants to be near you! 🙂
Snoskred,
Nothing to worry about. Thanks. Being retired, we spend more hours a day with these cats than we’ve spent with any pets in the past. It shows in their attachment to us. Moose herds us! He likes when everyone is together. Dudo is more narcissistic.
The first thing I love is that your feet are sticking out of the bottom of the bed!!! I love Dudo and Moose. What will you do should they ever catch a bird coming in through the drain hole??? LOL,LOL,LOL
Mistress Maddie,
I’m lying naked atop the bed covers with a comforter over my privates for Dudo’s comfort. Dudo caught one bird a while back and gave it to me when I ordered. Too late for the bird. Since then we’ve saved two birds they had cornered. Uf! Fortunately none have come through the drain holes. They just perch on the pipes that stick out the other side. And that drives the cats nuts.
Ah, yes. I made the mistake of tossing a tennis ball with Tasha one recent sunny day. Now she follows me around the house, literally at my heels, begging for the tennis ball. She knows where it is (hidden on the potting table in the greenhouse) and will stand below it looking up and whining. Animules, eh?
Walt the Fourth,
Yep, especially with Dudo, we’ve learned if we do it once then it’s a habit. I am now required to accompany them daily into the hall. I won’t leave them there alone because the stairs are too enticing… and they get lost. So I simply sit while they explore.
It sounds like the cats have you well trained. You can pass the test, you have done harder things in your life.
David:
The cats DO have us very well trained. As for the test, I’m confident I could easily pass the test based on my knowledge, but I’m doing it in English (maybe not the best idea) and the translations are so bad that sometimes the questions and answers make absolutely no sense… or questions contradict each other. So, I’m hoping there will be no newly translated things i haven’t studied since I’ve even memorized the so-called correct answers that are actually incorrect. It WILL be fine!
