Sweet and lovely / Dulce y encantador

Just like the good old days, I’m hustling. San Geraldo’s sister Linda and her husband, Tom, arrive for a visit in a few hours. Isabel just cleaned on Thursday but, as you can see from the top photo, I need to do some dusting. Windows open to the sea, salt, and sand ensure nothing stays shiny for long. So, here are just some shots of Dudo and Moose — mostly Dudo — to keep you interested.

I’ve slipped in a couple of shots of desserts enjoyed at Mesón Salvador Saturday afternoon when we met friends Jean and Ray for coffee. They only had coffee. San Geraldo went to select a dessert (one, I thought) for the two of us.

Oh, I forgot to tell you: The first desert rose is in bloom again even as it drops its leaves in the “winter chill.”

• Dudo made a tissue paper nest before settling down.
• “We know it’s time for treats somewhere in the world.”
• Last night in San Geraldo’s office. I love the look on Dudo’s face.
• These last two were taken in the hallway. Dudo begged to go out and then ran around like a lunatic for 15 minutes returning to me for a cuddle regularly.

I simply cleaned the glass on the dining table and the cocktail table. Oh, and I made the bed. And we’re enjoying each other’s company.

    1. janiejunebug:
The dust looked worse in the sunlight. I cleaned the glass surface and left the rest of the house as is.

  1. I’ve read your comments elsewhere and finally realized you, too, have a blog, doh! And bonus, Spanish, too. Also cats! Anyway hello and thank you.

    1. Liz:
Lots of anonymousness around here. Don’t know why. But I do the same. I read blogs. I read comments. I know names. And I never get further than that. And I regret it. So, I promise to visit and start following you, too. I’m behind on blogging with company here. Thanks so much for visiting.

  2. It’s so fun, learning a little about your life through your excellent photos. Your cat companions are very handsome and sleek beasts. Enjoy your company. Why do we ALL worry so much about dust? Good Lord.

      1. Ms. Moon:
I was on blogger when those dinosaurs were around. Dudo and Moose are the center of the Universe. Or at least that’s what they tell me.

    1. Kirk:
Moose was asleep. Dudo looked at me as if to say, ”Do you believe this jerk? I need my space!”

  3. I got to see three of my grandkitties over the Thanksgiving holiday, but came home with a stomach bug…. so I’m sticking with Moose and Dudo photos today and scrolling past the food. Your boys are so sweet.

    1. Steve:
Isn’t that wonderful? I shot the photo because I liked the light and shadows. The reflection was a surprise.

  4. Don’t make me choose between food porn and pretty kitties. I won’t do it, I tell you. I want ‘em both, all the time. I ain’t Sophie and I ain’t making no choice!
