I’ve been having a difficult time digging myself out of a depressive hole. No big deal. It’s the story of my life and it’s been worse. At least my eyes still peer above the surface at times. I’ll do some nice things today and will forget myself for a bit.
I chatted with The Kid Brother last night. He’s doing great, although he was himself a bit less perky this week. However, he bowled a 150 over the weekend and was quite proud of that. We’ll be seeing each other in Brooklyn in just around 2 weeks. We’re both very excited about that.
Meanwhile, here are some shots of what’s been entertaining me lately. The image above is of Moose soaking up the sun in the dining room Monday morning. I should probably do the same, although it’s not so sunny today.

When I have time, maybe I will go spend hours watching construction projects, looks like fun. Nice underground sections. See ya soon.
David:
I spend minutes — really only moments. But it is fun. Less than a month away!
Oh, my, that sunrise is something else. Wow.
I’m glad to hear that you are going to be seeing Chuck soon!
Judy C:
I got out of bed for that sunrise. Sometimes I can’t help myself.
Wednesday morning sunrise…..WOW!
‘Lady Paisley Print’ looks fine from the knees up……guess she needs glasses.
Jim:
My guess is Lady Paisley is Finnish. But I could be wrong.
Whoa, that sunrise! But it’s eclipsed by the warring patterns on the strolling people. Very cheerful, I suppose!
Anon:
I enjoyed that first outfit… although I wouldn’t do it myself.
At first glance, I was wondering why they were putting burial vaults in that location. Then when I saw the orange concrete rectangles, I realized it was an art installation. How do you avoid going blind seeing those outfits all the time? Feliz Whateverdad!
wickedhamster:
I actually ran after the woman in [some] paisley to get the right shot. They make my day. It seems a shame to bury those beautiful golden vaults.
Oh, Mitchell! It is so wearying, that constant trying to peep above the dark place. “But I’m fine! It’s okay! No worries!”
Yes, yes, of course.
But it’s not fine and it’s not okay and I understand.
Meanwhile, try to be entertained by the goofy and the unmatched patterns, soothed by watching the cat in the sun. Be reminded of the light by the glory of a sunrise. I will be thinking of you.
Ms. Moon
Ms. Moon:
Thanks! Yeah, it can be exhausting can’t it. But there are bright shining moments.
Ugh. Those two tourist photos made my eyes burn and water.
Debra:
I actually enjoyed the look of the first. Like the insides of a piñata. The second did nothing for me.
I find it harder to keep that “black dog” at bay this time of year. I don’t know if it’s the shorter days, the inevitable holiday stress, or what. When I see clashing outfits like that, I have to wonder “what are they thinking?!” Stunning sunrise!
Kelly:
Winter holiday celebrations add a lot of pressure. As for the outfits, some of them aren’t thinking at all. Others give it A LOT of thought.
That woman outdid herself – not just two, but three clashing patterns. Looks like an explosion in Zandra Rhodes’ wardrobe!
Gorgeous sky… Jx
Jon:
Oh my god. I wonder if that WAS Zandra Rhodes!
Oooooh, that sunrise!
You really do see the most shocking fashions there.
Keep fending off that black dog. Hugs from London!
Steve:
I saw the black dog (a French bulldog) in the pet supply shop yesterday and gave it a big fat hug.
The sunset photos are beautiful. And that paisley lady? OMG what was she thinking? I am sorry you are fighting the blues. I think this time of year can be hard for lots of people, myself included.
mcpersonalspace54:
Yes, any time of year can be challenging but this time of year is especially tough for a lot of people. I think Paisley Lady gave that a lot of thought.
I think she probably gave it a lot of thought too. Certainly not my taste!
Moose’s face is the epitome of peaceful; loving it.
Those outfits?🤮🤮🤮 Especially the man’s legs and footwear choice.
I’ll scroll back up to Moose’s face before i go.
Bob:
Yeah, that second look did nothing for me. Moose was completely blissed out.
You have a double helping of depression, while I’m treated to extra anxiety. Ain’t we got fun? Moose looks Sweet in the sun. I didn’t know you were visiting Chuck so soon.
Love,
Janie
janiejunebug:
Oh, the anxiety. I get that at times, too.
Moose’s picture warmed me up!
Mistress Borghese:
Blissed out.
What are they building? Storm drains? A subway for little people? A place for cats to hang out?
Walt the Fourth:
Two neighborhoods away from us, about a 15-minute walk, there have been chronic drainage problems. This work is to resolve that. They started near us but, thankfully, not right in front of us and they’ll work their way along. The first section of road is about to be repaved. What a project!
Is that underground shelter they’re building? Might come in handy if you do find yourself under the Mediterranean Sea.
Kirk:
Do you suppose it’s water-proof.
love this!
