  1. Doesn’t hurt to challenge those legs, I guess, but be mindful as you have been taking those breaks.
The phone saga starts again! Have fun!

    1. Jim:
Kid Brother, the never-ending story. The legs just get so heavy. It’s the pits!

    1. Debra:
Thanks. I really like that, too. That sun has been used as the Fuengirola logo — Fuengirola, un sol de ciudad.

  2. 4 miles!?!?!? Your lucky you didn’t do some harm. Best no over so it Stretch.

Beautiful pictures….that first is amazing with the shadows. Im with San Geraldo…I love dark chocolate covered raisins.

    1. Mistress Borghese:
That first view immediately caught my eye and I knew I wanted to strip the color to make it more interesting. SG’s favorite treat is dark-chocolate covered raisins. I think that’s the only reason he liked to go the movies in the States. A handful of those treats and a handful of popcorn at the same time. Heaven! I enjoyed Milk Duds and Dots… but not in my mouth at the same time.

  3. I think I’d be a bit pooped walking four miles with jelly-legs, but again it looks like lovely weather to just meander in… Jx

    1. Jon:
The legs aren’t jelly, more like lead! The weather has been glorious.

  4. You and I are alike in the idea that we try to push things. My physical therapist “fussed” at me for running three miles the other day. She gave me a chart to follow for “return to running”, which I am not following! I get it though…you want to be doing what you were doing!

    1. Michael:
Before I leave the house San Geraldo says “Don’t overdo it,” knowing I will.

  5. Boud here urging restraint so you don’t pay a price later. That’s a great walking place, though, flat, nice views, sea air, all mod cons.

    1. Boud:
That is one of the great things about Fuengirola, the long flat seaside walk. It’s very inviting for people of all abilities. For a change at times I like to turn away from the sea and walk the nearby hills.

  6. It’s so easy to walk too far at the beach. At least in my experience. “Oh, I’ll just walk up to that little inlet,” and then you realize after another half hour that the little inlet was two miles away. Distances are so deceptive at the beach.

    1. MsMaryMoon:
You’re right about distances. Walking on the beach, I’ll turn around and wonder ‘How did I get this far?’

      1. Exactly. And that is the very moment you realize that you’re exhausted. Or at least I do.

    1. Kelly:
Thanks! I like that, too. I immediately pictured it with the color stripped out. I wasn’t disappointed.

    1. Kirk:
Yep. One of KB’s most often used lines is “I’ll wait until you get here.”

  7. At least you didn’t say carted away! I would love to have benches with those views along my walk.

    1. sillygirl:
Carted away wouldn’t have been so bad. I would have loved a bench right at the surf line.

    1. Steve:
I didn’t do a long walk today, just out for dinner. I doubt KB will get this taken care of on his own.

  8. Oh, gracious, it must be so hard for you not being able to fix problems like the unpaid phone bill, from so far away.
4 miles! Wow, great! I can’t imagine walking that far if your legs felt heavy, though. Yikes!

    1. Judy C:
I’m thankful that lately Chuck doesn’t have as many “situations” as he used to. And, yes, picking up the feet got to be work. I’m going to hit the street again this morning, but maybe half the distance and then exercise at home.
